I HAD been a very satisfied Dish Network customer for several years. I moved in November of 2006 and called to have my service moved. They made an appointment and showed up on time. The gentlemen who installed my dish system installed it on my roof. When I returned home from work, there were cable wires hanging out of the outside of my home and wires laying all around my living room. I didn't think much of it, I could clean that up myself. About two hours later, our programming went out and never returned. My nightmare began with a call to the installer who installed my system.

I called the company (High Power Technical Services) and told them I had problems with my programming. They used a local installed and said they would contact them to remedy the problem. They returned my phone call and made another appointment to fix my system. The second installer who came out (from the same company) said the first guy didn't know what he was doing and installed my system under a tree, so that's why it wouldn't work. He then installed another system on my garage.

When he did this, he left about 35 feet of cable laying between my house and garage just laying on top of the ground. He said I would have to file a damage claim to cover damage that would be caused by removing the original dish from my house. The nightmare continues.

I called the company (HPTS) to report my damage claim. The lady told me she understood and apologized and transferred me to the damage claims department. The lady promised to mail me a check for $200 to help cover the damage and she would get someone out to bury my cable. This was December 17th, 2006.

After waiting nearly two months with no check, and refusing to answer my phone calls, I finally decided to call Dish Network. I was sent to the Corporate Field Resolution Office with a gentleman named Aaron. He seemed very aggressive and eager to solve my problem. He said he would contact the installed to inspect the damage they caused and he would return my call. Two weeks went by and I had to call him back. I was given the same answer. I will contact them and call you back.

This continued until the end of February when I called him and said I would like to cancel my service and just part ways. He said let me check on this and get it resolved. He had the nerve to call my wife the next day and ask her what we wanted done with the system on our house. I was not happy. It was like he wasn't even listening to me for the entire two months we spoke nearly every few days. I told him I wanted the service cancelled and the cancellation fees waived. He said he didn't think he could do that, and would call me back. He actually returned my call within a couple of hours and said he would cancel the service and waive the fees, providing I would sign a release so I couldn't sue them.

On March 12th I had to call back, because he hadn't canceled my service and they were still billing me for the service. I am very dissatisfied with Dish and will never use them again.
