Dish Network Updated my services without my permission. I only wanted basic service and was told, it would never get over $24.95 per month. It is $53.00, RIPOFF! Palatine Illinois
I was slammed with $53.00 per month in charges for services I was told would only cost me $24.95 max. and when I complained, they charged me late charges and threatened to cut my service off! I only asked for basic service and was slammed with crap, I don't watch.

Even though they may have claimed there is no contract, there is a little document called "residential subscriber agreement" which outlines the fees and charges they tack on every month. You service may actually be only 24.95, but then they have their access charges, and service charges, and equipment charges, and programming charges and the list goes on. Don't be surprised if next month you see charges for $5.00 each if you've called them to dispute the bill. They charge you $5.00 when you call customer service. Oh yeah, and unless they changed it recently, they charge you a "convenience fee" of $4.95 if they issue credit to your account. You can find the residential service agreement on their website, and on the back of your installation receipt.
