DISH NETWORK Warning: Dish Network engages in false advertising and over billing, Internet

Dish Network is currently falsely advertising several items.

1) New subscribers can get up to 3 HD receivers free.  Prior to subscribing I specifically questioned the topic along with other advertised points and was told that the receivers are free and there is no monthly billing for the units. My 1st bill had an additional charge of $7 for each receiver beyond one.

When I called customer service I was told that only the installation of the receivers was free. Again, I specifically questioned this item prior to placing an order. I was then told that the telephone number on the sales flier was to an authorized 3rd party seller of Dish who had lied to me. Subsequent calls to the phone number got me in touch with Dish personnel not a 3rd party. Upon questioning, Dish customer disservice told me again that I was signed up by a 3rd party but they couldn't tell me the name of the company or provide another phone number.

2) When signing up for service with 120 channels or more you can get HD free for life as long as you don't cancel service.  My 1st bill not only charged for HD but also for something called "Platinum" for another $10 per month.

The customer disservice supervisor (who told me she doesn't have a superior) told me that to get free HD I needed to resign up to an additional contract on the internet.  Of course this means the start of a new date extending your ties to Dish in case of cancellation.
