After numerous ads for low cost service which I received in my mailbox from Dish Network, in June of this year (2009) I decided to have a system installed. First off the appointment time was not met by the Dish Network installer subcontractor. Then used and beat up looking equipment was installed on my home and inside my house. When the installer left I had problems with the service and immediately phoned Dish Network's customer service. An appointment was scheduled for a week later for service. When the appointment time arrived no one showed. I phoned and was given a new appointment time. Guess what? No one showed. I phoned again and requested my system be removed and service contract cancelled for breach of contract by Dish. After some harange by them they finally agreed to send boxes and labels for return of key components. Then the other show dropped. Dish Network, who couldn't give me service charged my credit card $200.15 for "early termination of service". I had given them my cc# over the phone to cover a $49.00 installation charge. But at no time did I authorize a charge for $200.15. In fact, I've yet to receive any written agreement from Dish Network. Oh, I forgot to mention I did receive a bill for three times what I agreed to pay for the service via mail shortly after I initially phoned Dish Network. I never paid because I never had service. So within the short spell of two weeks of contacting Dish Network about tv service, my home was damaged (two inch holes drilled for wire entry, dirty large box installed on side of house which measures 14 x 12 inches with crude paint job by previous owner, large staples every 4 inches down entire side of my new home). I would not recommend these fools to anyone. In fact every time I see their commercial claiming they are low cost infuriates me (I just saw their very misleading ad and decided to write this). I had to contact Dish Network four times over one month to get the boxes and labels to return the boxes and LNB. They were planning on charging me another $1500 for the used boxes because they hadn't received them. If you want to loose a lot of money and be ripped off just contact Dish Network for service. Not only was their advertising about low price false, but they are just thieves. DO NOT USE DISH NETWORK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

im going to make this short i hope. read the contract before you sign. anytime before they finished the install you had a right to call a supervisor or run them off. you should have called around to local dealers and asked for references. i never made a customer sign anything until i was completely done and they were happy. i also explained everything to them. also i wrote it out on an invoice and the contract also had disclosures. i would hand them both to the customer ask them to read it first then sign . most didnt want to read it just sign the paperwork.

this link will  show you what an experienced dealer can do......if anyone is interested
