Dishnetwork Refund Dept, ERC dept kept my refund, using my refund to pay my monthly bill without my permisson. Georgia
On September 1,2010 I made a overpayment on my Dishnetwork account trying to restore my service where it had been cut off. I requested the refund of the remainder of the overpayment also on this date. I was told by various Depts that the refund was issued on Sept 1, 2010. Since this date I have called Dish repeatdedly regarding our refund and they keep telling us that the refund is still in pending status. On Sept 17, 2010 I looked at my statement and noticed Dish had taken October's bill out of the refund without our knowledge and permission to do so but still and yet they keep telling us the refund is still pending. We want what's owed to us and they have no right to take from our refund when the desire and what they desire.

You say your service was restored after being cut off and you made an 'overpayment'. If your service was cut off for non-payment previously, they probably processed the next month's payment to avoid your service being disconnected again. If you made a payment and overpaid, they probably don't have to have your permission to use the funds since you did pay it to them. I would just relax and take a deep breath and be happy that this is one less bill to have to pay for October!
