I have an eight year old boy with decent computer skills. A few years ago I subscribed to Disney Toontown, a relatively simple game he enjoyed for about a year. Shortly after that he discovered Disney Pirates of the Carribean, a more sophisticated game, and more fun. I gave him his choice, and we decided to cancel Toontown, that was about 2 1/2 years ago. A few months later I noticed the charges for Toontown were still showing up, I called and canceled again, but...still charging. I became so incensed I canceled a prepaid trip to Disney World! I called Toontown again, canceled again, even told them about my reservation cancellation, and thought it was all done.


Last spring my son became bored with the pirate game and we again decided to cancel, I followed directions and canceled...In July of '09 I noticed I was still being charged for the pirates, and called again! They relented and claimed they could only give me credit for 2 months, fine, get out of my life!


Well, they're back! We do a lot with this CC, so I missed the fact that for the last 2+ years DISNEY TOOTOWN WAS CHARGING ME!!!!!!!!!!!! After an hour on the phone today, they relented, but extended me no consideration for the $200.00 in charges for the last 2 years.


Folks, we all want to give our kids a chance for fun and fantasy, but this money grubbing group of crooks is using our love for our kids to steal from us, using technicalities to keep our money for services we don't want or use. It is just wrong! I used to be a bigtime RPG player online, and never had a problem cancelling an account...not until I met DISNEYONLINE.COM.


Because of this issue my son will never see Disney World, or watch the Disney channel at home, or be allowed to have a Disney product again. My family and I are boycotting the entire Disney organization and anyting I find related to Disney.
