We hired John in January to lay a bout a 300 square-foot patio with pavers. He came out right away and gave us a contract that look legit. He gave us a quote of $3000. He asked for 1500 upfront which we paid him and then 1500 after the job was completed. By April, all we had was a hole dug in our yard and gave him many chances to come finish the job. During that time he continue to send us text and phone calls telling us he needs more money for personal reasons. We refused to give him any more money. He would not come back and finish our job until we gave him more money so the job was left undone. He left our driveway a wreck with broken cement all over the place, sand and gravel. We called him our text him probably 10 times a day begging him to come out and finish the job and we would give him the rest of his money. He continue to make excuses whether it be his truck broke down for the hundredth time or somebody and his family was sick. After three months of this we finally hired someone else who came out and fixed it in two hours for us . I have repeatedly asked John to at least give us a A few hundred dollars so I can somewhat feel like this was justified, but has refused to do so.

I made a mistake. My mistake was that I put in more labor by doing extra work that wasn't on the contract to make the job right. But who's to blame other than myself since I didn't get compensated for doing that extra work. Work completed that I put my hard labor into was, demo and removal of existing concrete patio, digging of the patio formation, installation of the concrete boarder, installation of pavers (brick boarder) (lots of curvs to make it look nice) and to fill the center with paver dust.

While there was an outstanding balance (remaining balance) was due. The customers knew about this, but instead they've taken it upon themselves to revert the contract to where they'll find somebody else that would finish up the project cheaper than what they owed me. I ended up having to give Mrs. Nichole a refund which I kindly did. They appreciated it too, in this nice, well thought text message they gave me.

Stop posting the unfinished sunken tub DiSpirito Masonry & Tile has completed the sunken tub project, and also has pictures to show its fully completed. The outdoor patio was a flop anyways because you told me I wasn't allowed back at your residence. While I did have truck issues, I rented a Uhaul truck and 2 days later the manager alerted a Recall to all of the Uhaul trucks for a total count.

You then locked away all of my tools and said "the tools will be held as compensation for the refund" what the heck kind of game is that!? You have nearly close to $2,500 worth of tools in your shed! Power tools like chop saw, skill saw, power drills, mixing drills, sentimental tools that I've kept for a very long time and tools that belonged to my son. This caused me to loose not only business but time and money replacing tools! Ripoff on you I made every effort to complete the project. You know that.
