Complaint Review: DIT Transcription

I started working for DIT in April of 2010.  I had read some bad reviews before I started, but I was assured by Hadi Dana, Jessica Engel, Beverly Wrenn and Kathy Baker that all the financial issues had been resolved.  Three months and almost $3000 later, I cannot even get anyone to respond to a phone call or e-mail.  I received one check for $160 over a month ago and nothing since.  Now I just get the "the check is in the mail" runaround. 


After many phone calls I'm learning that the only way to come at them is through a civil suit, which I'm sure will be expensive and time consuming, but I will do whatever I have to do to get my money from these people.  I can't believe they have gotten away with this for so long!  Isn't it illegal??!!  How can they run a business like this? 


I attempted to contact the clinics that I was typing for (as I would recommend to everyone in this situation) and let the office manager know that DIT was not paying me for their work.  One that I spoke with said she would going back to her old transcription company as she did not care to work for people like this.  Maybe if we all do this and they feel it in the pocketbook they'll make good on what they owe. 


I'm up for a class action suit or any advise anyone can give me.  This is outrageous!
