Complaint Review: dittmers shell service station

dittmers shell service station ripoff $640 tune up on a 1996 van .....

we just wanted a tune up .we were told over the phone around $200 just drop it off in the morning .. and we could pick it up later that day. i called them that afternoon and was told later that night .

I called them that evening and was told that it wouldnt be done till the next day ( i should have known then ).they called me around 2 the next day and said it was done and it was $640 dollars... for what, i just needed a tune up ..well it needed a fuel injector then it needed this thing done and that thing done...

I asked who told you to do this .well we thought you wantd it done .,.no i just wanted a tune up for $200..to bad work is done if you want your van back you must pay ..

I have no choice but to pay them the police here say they can keep the van untill do.we have 5 kids and we need it .its going on a week now and i dont know what else to do.

I do intend to tell at least 640 people this story they hadno right to do the work or to charge me for it
