I received a call this evening from DCS saying they wanted me to pay taxes owed to the Commonwealth of Virginia for years 1994 and 1997 totaling $11,237. They told me I had to pay it now or the state wold garnish my wages and put a lien on my home. I have no idea where the copies of returns from those years are or how to get copies.

They then tried to get me to make a payment and again, I told them I was not paying out any money to anyone without documentation from Virginia showing what I owed and why. She told me if I didn't call by Monday, 2:45 pm PDT, and make a payment of the majority of the money owed, the state would start the garnishments and set up the liens.

Don't know what to do or where to turn.

Don't let this D.C.S. lie to you about back taxes! Don't contact them! D.C.S. is nothing but a MOB owned, scavenger colletion agency! They look up old court cases and attempt to contact people to "strong arm people" into paying them.

If these taxes are really yours, the state they are due in will do business with you directly. It is against the law in most states to out source back taxes to collection agencies, to talk about your taxes, old or new, TO ANY ONE AT ANY TIME!!!

Call an attorney, and consult them about this if the taxes are really yours. Many state have a forgiveness program, if you financially unable to pay them. Most old taxes are forgiven after 3 years.

Go to Clark Howard.com, and read about your rights with old debts, old taxes, collection agencies, and drop dead letters you can send them.

If these taxes aren't yours, sue D.C.S. in your state for fraud, harrassment, idenity theft, and so on.

Hope this helps.....Read my report, under Tiger or D.C.S.
