Similar to what I've read on other DiVinci reports. Was approched by a slick talker in a brown shade van looking to offload a high-end home theater system:

DiVinci, DV-7010, Professional 5.1 Home Theater System

The description of the system was amazing including "Pure Titanium Mid-Range Drivers" and "Woven Silk and Titanium Hydro-Cooled Tweeters".
The most amazing thing was the suggested retail price at $3,129 and just the cables alone "24k platinum gold lated A/V Cables" were supposedly worth over $150 in value. Long story short, I parted with hard earned $500CAD.

Upon trying the system out, I realized I had made a mistake. The system is only really just an amp with weak speakers. I needed to hook up a player to use the system. Only sounds good with other speakers that I already had i.e. only sounds good when most of the components in use are non-DiVinci components I already had. Also the supposedly > $150 cables have already began falling apart.

Upon reading these other DiVinci Rip-Off reports, I concluded that indeed I have been ripped-off. Oh well... I have learned my lesson. No more, off the van, purchases. Also no more reading the MSRP as a valid indication of value. It should be against the law for a company to list any MSRP regardless of actual value. That is what particularly had me fooled.
This system was not worth the $500 I paid for it let alone the $3,129 MSRP. I suppose the company facilitates 'White Van sales' to distance itself from direct sales transactions and subsequent litigation.
