On or about November 16, 2016 a younger woman was talking on a cellphone in the library. A senior citizen made a proper complaint to the reference librarian who went over and asked the woman to stop.  The woman did not.  The senior citizen went to the front desk and filed a verbal complaint about the reference librarian. In retaliation the reference librarian yelled at the senior citizen.  She then approached him a second time and he asked her - politely - to leave him alone as she handled the situation in an inappropriate way.  He told her this very calmly.   ON or about November 26, 2016, Lorraine Barry approached the victim with a written warning claiming that the victim, who told the loud librarian that she was actiing inapproprriately, was the aggressor. This is disgusting behavior by public servants circling the wagons around bad behavior. The victim told a police officer on November 26 what transpired. He has written to the Selectmen and to higher authorities and may file with the Msss Commission Against Discrimination.
