Complaint Review: Division of Child Support Services

 I am a father of 3 children to an ex-girlfriend. Before I married, I was paying childsupport and seeing my children on a regular basis, after I married I knew things would change, So I signed the proper paper work to have child support coming out of my paycheck in 2002 which is the same year I married.

I never missed a payment and always spent time with our children when she allowed it. Through the years she met someone and now has 3 children with another man and my children have suffered because of it, not his but mine. I got some advice on having our kids legitimized and something always comes up to do so.

I began school in 2010 to further my education to become an r.n. because I was tired of driving trucks over the road aside other issues and though I did pay, I didn't pay what was required by the court, I got behind payments-doing clinicals,(( reminder: from 2/2002 till 10/2009 paid faithfully)) and my cdl were suspended, then next I was picked up by a police officer-arrested in 3/2010, in jail for exactly 23 days, having to come up with almost 1000 dollars to be released.

while driving trucks, in school, before jail and in jail I petitioned my case to cse and to no avail. I asked my wife to go to cse in Valdosta, ga to speak with the case worker, so she & a friend went and it was recorded that "I know Mr. Jones paid on point, but that's not my problem, I know how it feels to be a single parent with a deadbeat baby daddy", this is the very reason why I went to college, so I could teach these men that they can't help make these babies and not see about them".

After speaking with "Ms. Tina" myself, it was clear that, even those fathers who have no criminal record, upright law abiding citizens will have to pay the price and the sad part is, ((2 of my children are now with me and have been since May 1, 2013. one is 18 as of august and leaving for the mlitary in 50 days and the other is 16)) I have to pay child support until my baby girl turns 18 and she's 11 according to child support documents remodified.

My arrears went from 3 grand in 2010 and I began working 3-26-2010 soon after released from jail, and arrears are now over 6500 grand in 2013 and I get paid weekly and my income tax is taken and vacation pay taken and the more that is paid the higher the arrears continue to go up.

there are deadbeat fathers who i know personally, don't pay a dime, walk around free and the courts and cse do nothing and insist they can't be found but those who strive to do their part in being accountable and responsible catch pure hell and one day cse will arrest and provoke the wrong man and have a lawsuit.... undercover baby daddies-like undercover bosses.

where is the money going, when I know it's coming out my check every week, every vacation check and income tax...no one ever seems to know and when I ask questions, I'm threatened saying "you behind in arrears, we can have you picked up anytime, so you worryin about the wrong thing, you just make sure you keep working and keep paying".
