EBAY sellers who cancel no reserve auctions before the end claiming they have sold the unit only to find it relisted. Called and was given a rude runaround and then item was relisted as buy it now.

This dealer is running a scam to get all they can on RV's. They will lie to your face and on the ads.

They changed the ad in the second posting from will take any trades to rv trades only. When you call them on the carpet for what they are doing noone will talk to you only curse at you and send crappy emails.

BE AWARE OF THIS DEALER AND THEIR PRACTICES IT WILL COST YOU TIME AND MONEY

The dealer obvioulsy did not read the ebay report.  Ebay took action against this dealer for the very reason i had an issue.  I had made a direct bid to this dealer at the last bid price on Ebay.  I was told it was sold and they relisted the item.

This employee whos heart is in the right place never was involved in my attempted transaction and never tried to reach me in regards to my issues.

Funny, they never repsonded to my calls but they have time to respond to ripoff reports.

AGAIN, IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY KEEP IT AWAY FROM THIS DEALER!

Dixie Motors rebuttal

#5UPDATE Employee

Tue, December 15, 2009

The following statement is a response from Dixie Motors, Inc. of Nashville,Tn., a local owned, independent automobile dealership established in 1958, in regard to a lone complaint to Ripoffreport.com on June 13th,2009 from an individual concerning a RV (recreation vehicle) listing the above dealership was running on ebay at that particular time.

The individual's main complaint seemed to stem from the dealership's re-listing of the RV after cancelling the initial listing,(this after receiving a large security deposit from another customer) claiming he was given "a rude runaround" when making an inquiry about the status of the RV. He further states "this dealer is running a scam to get all they can on RV's". Keep in mind, these unbased claims are coming from an individual who was given the opportunity to purchase said RV after the initial legitimate deal fell out, but never bid even half of the listed price of the RV. In regard to the initial deal on the RV; Dixie Motors, Inc. has been involved in hundreds of vehicle listings on ebay over the years, and have conducted ourselves in a manner that has resulted in a rating of 100% customer feedback. This a customer rating that we at Dixie Motors are very proud of...and please keep in mind that over half of our ebay transactions come from out of town, out of state, and even out of country. To also add to our credibility and reputation as stated earlier,Dixie Motors, Inc. has been in business for over 58 years; we take pride in not only the amount of vehicles we sell, but we take just as much pride in the manner we conduct our business practices.

In closing, this was a claim by one individual that seemed more concerned with some baseless conspiracy than actually trying to purchase a vehicle from Dixie Motors, Inc., thus resulting in a waste of time by both parties involved . And by the way, for any consumers reading this rebuttal, don't waste your time clicking Ripoffreports.com link to search for other Ripoffreports on Dixie Motors, Inc.; there are none.

Dear John,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the items you reported.

Sometimes something goes wrong and the seller can't complete a listing as planned. Here are some examples of legitimate reasons for ending a listing early:

- The item is no longer available for sale.
- There was an error in the starting price or reserve amount.
- There was an error in the listing.
- The item was lost or broken.

Sellers *are not* permitted to cancel bids and end listings early to avoid selling an item that didn't meet the desired sale price, and we investigate abuses of the Early Ending option.

To learn more about when sellers can cancel bids and end a listing early, go to:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/end_early.html

Upon reviewing your e-mail history, it appears you provided enough information concerning those items and members for us to take action.
Our investigation can also include information we have available to us internally to take into consideration when taking action.

We're concerned about any possible violations of eBay policy and are sincerely grateful to our members for help in spotting problems.

For privacy concerns, we won't be able to share the results of our investigation with you. I hope that this assures you that your account history will also remain private.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
