Booked DJ Danny Dee on the basis onf a very impressive website full of promises about the importance of a good DJ and how he had a great of experience and knew how to make it a night to remember for the couple and wedding guests.

Paid 50 deposit by cheque sent to Queslett Road address. My husabd had contact with him several times and no problemn. Felt reassured that we'd booked a good DJ. I spoke to him on the morning of the reception (1/9/07). Everything fine happy with the personlised playlist and event planner we'd submitted via his website and we agreed that anything else could be disucssed on the evening.

At 6.30 on the evening a man turned up at the venue saying he was the DJ. We asked where Danny was. He said Danny had sent him text that morning to tell him about the booking. He showed us the text - it was minutes after I'd spoken to Danny. The DJ told us Danny was an agent and often farmed out bookings. I tried to contact Danny - no answer or answerphone facility. The new DJ was scruffy (not how we expected the DJ to be dressed at our reception). He had no records and could only offer us the pre-programmed playlist on the computer. We could not cancel him as we would've had no DJ and the booking contract from Danny Dee did not allow us to without incurring the full cost. We had no choice but to accept it. Music was erratic and at times obscure. Our guests would normally not hesitate to get up and dance but the music was so abis smal that they didn't and the DJ certainly didn't encourage them - in fact he was silent for most of the night. The Dj we had was certainly not of the calibre described on the website. we had been conned. I contacted Danny on monday 3 Sept to complain. i was understandly upset. He was agressive, told me the call was being recorded and was not interested in my complaint. The man I was speaking to was used to receiving this sort of call. He was not nervous or hesitant or apologetic. He was aggressive and uninterested. I told him I would getting advice from Trading Standards - a letter is now in the post to him advising him of the Goods and Services Act 1982 and requesting a full refund. It now appears that Midlands Roadshow and Aplus Entertainment (which was featured on Watchdog for non-appearance at parties in Oct 06, I found out today) are likely to be one and the same company. Also GuidesforBrides.com are chasing him for non-payment of advertising to no- avail so far. Please help us get our 170.00 back. This is a con through and through. Go not use aplus or midlands roadshow

Aplus entertainment and DJ Danny Dee look to be the same person. There are 9 reports filed on Aplus entertainment on this website. One states that chris roe of birmingham Trading Standards is compiling a dossier on this conman. Please send your information to him. We need to stop this person. Daniel/Danny seems to have lots of address for mailing - Caldicott Roas, Westwood Wayu and Queslett road. Interestingly the registered address for both these 'companies' are Harley Street, London! Has he conned enough money to rent this pretigious address or is it another con?

there are plenty of rebuttals flying around from this person. It's funny how a rip-off merchant is scouring rip-off websites. the response is always the same - the customer is WRONG - never Daniel! does he get off on people talking about him??

Firstly you state that i was contracted to do your booking but this booking was only provisionally booked and accepted as a goodwill gesture.
As i did not accept a cheque from you as this was not recieved i suggest you also confirm this with your bank and i can 100% say that we did not cash a cheque from you and therefore a contract was not entered into.
I have at no point been aggressive to you but you would not let me get a word in with you even though i was trying to tell you that we did not take a penny from you,therefore i do not owe you a refund as i have not taken one pence of you via cheque as you claim.
As stated i did supply a dj to you as a goodwill gesture as i did try calling you numerous times chasing your OUTSTANDING payment.
If you claim you sent a cheque and you claim i cashed this i can honestly state you are a LIAR.
I have not cashed a penny of your money and before you make slanderous comments i suggest you think very carefully.
As stated in an email to you prior to the event that i would accept another job if payment was not recieved and it was not but as i could not get through to you i covered it as a goodwill gesture.
Funny old world you try and help out a customer as there the one who breached the contract and you get it thrown back at you.
