DJ Edwards - DJ Edwards Homes Rip Off Artist, Shoddy Workmanship, Deceptive Business Practices San Antonio Texas
I just read a Rip Off Report written by another individual about DJ Edwards of DJ Edwards Homes...and I'm so glad I did!
The almost identical set of circumstances happened to my son when he purchased a home and DJ Edwards was contracted by the seller or seller's agent to make some repairs on the house...
I just learned of this website or I would have reported DJ Edwards sooner!
DJ Edwards is a rip off artist who preys on young people buying their first homes!...he was supposed to repair/replace several pieces of rotting wood, repair the fascia, and replace some siding...DJ Edwards did NONE of the above!
This con man did the repairs with lumber obviously left over from another repair job he did...there were nail or screw holes in the boards and some were to short...DJ Edwards just nailed them up over the rotted wood!
The siding DJ Edwards used was in horrendous shape and looked worse than the siding he was supposed to replace...I think he got it off another home!
My son was at work and couldnt come home to check the work until DJ Edwards had already left...his neighbor told my son that DJ Edwards was at the house for about one hour if that!
My son telephoned DJ Edwards who returned to the home about 5 days later!
DJ Edwards told my son the same thing he told another consumer who's report I just read!...and that was that the work was a repair and he wasnt required to use new materials or replace rotting wood!...my son was furious and DJ Edwards just shrugged and told my son he didnt work for him and left!
The next day another larger man showed up at the house real early demanding payment!...my son said he wouldnt pay until the work was done correctly...the larger man tried to intimidate my son, but as a former Marine my son told him to hit the bricks and he did!...but said he and DJ Edwards would be back and they would get their money!
Then DJ Edwards pulled the same fraud on the title company and lied and said he had lost the check and to stop payment on it and he got them to issue him another check for the repairs!
My son telephoned DJ Edwards numerous times and DJ Edwards NEVER returned his phone calls!
Do not use this con man for any kind of repairs no matter how small...he is crook in my opinion and should be in jail!

what a wonderful thing the internet is!!!!! sombody by the name of "Dave" can say whatever he wants without any information given for me to look at the facts and find out what is really going on. Everyone knows that everything you read on the internet is 100% true and factual. My suggestion is if someone feels they have a legitimate complaint about me and my company they need to contact the BBB and let them do a third party investigation seeing as how my company is accredited and in good standing. Or you may contact the Texas Residential Construction Commission in Austin with whom I am also registered and in good standing with. Or, perhaps "Dave" if that really is his name would like to call me directly at 210-824-3556 instead of hiding behind the anonymity of the internet like some 46 year old man posing as a 19 year old coed.
Have citizens in this country lost the right to know who their accusors are? Anybody can say anything with no risk of consequences because it is completely untraceable? When will we start using bathroom wall graffitti as a measure of someone else's reputation? I feel cheated that I have to spend time defending myself against who knows who!!!!!
This offer is open to absolutely anyone who would like to discuss this matter with facts and accountability instead of ghosts and mirrors.
I can tell you a few things that are derived from this report:
first, I subcontract all my work so this "son's neighbor" never saw me do any work at the house. I showed up and gave instruction and then came back and checked the job when my crew said they were complete.
second, although I have no way of knowing who this "Dave" or his "son" is I don't understand why his son isn't complaining. My phone number still works, my mailing address is still valid.
third, I am not some guy in a truck with a hammer bouncing around in the back. This is a remodeling management company who has been working in San Antonio for over 20 years. Everyone knows who I am and how to contact me. I do not leave a person's home without the client being happy.
fourth, if this case is just like the previous case as "Dave" states then they were not my client and did not pay me for the job. I do the work and contact the person who hired me. They get to check the quality of my work before they write me a check and I always make my clients happy. Perhaps "Dave" needs to go talk to his "son's" realtor if they have any complaints.
fifth, i have never told a title company i have lost a check as "Dave" said. in the previous complaint the title company disbursed the funds incorrectly and i never received my check. when i brought this to their attention they panicked because what they did is actually against the law.
Sixth, i never go to anyone's house to get payment. the title company mails me a check so the whole paragraph about "another larger man showing up real early..... and we will be back to get a check" is a complete fiction novel straight out of the Sopranos. Come on "Dave" at least say we were carrying fully automatic weapons and missle launchers fiction should at least be entertaining.
I could go on picking out all the lies and deceit in this complaint but some of us have more important things to do in our lives so I will stop here out of boredom.
I am more than happy to provide people with more names and phone numbers of happy clients than "Dave" could possibly call in a month. "Dave" get your facts straight and be a man instead of a cowardly child.
