I wish I could give zero stars!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They fraudulently charged me, broke 60% of my things, vandalized the apartment complex they delivered to, stole things....and then settled with me for $450 even though i have $1000 in damages but i was 8 months pregnant and didnt want to fight with them so i agreed. 3 months later I haven't received the settlement check. They keep saying its in the mail, but they lie. Jonathan the supervisor lies. Every week IF I CAN GET HIM ON THE PHONE, he says he has overnighted my check, funny it never shows up. Look on websites movingscam.com, ripoff.com & you will see hundreds of complaints just like mine. At this point, getting the $450 they promised to me back is a matter of principle. I am filing a complaint with fmcsa.dot.gov, protect your move.com, as well as contacting their insurance carrier, as well as pursuing legal action against them for the whole amount of my move , as well as criminal action for my things that were stolen today!! Protect yourself from these criminals. I'm certain the good reviews are fake because its overwhelming if you look on the Internet, how many nice families and single mothers like myself they have scammed even while 8 months pregnant!!
Even after everything they did to me, I settled for a measly $450 from them when they should be paying me 4 times that amount as well as dealing with the police regarding my belongings they stole, and they couldn't just send me my $450. I guess they expect me to eventually give up but this is about principle at this point and standing up to a criminal. I WILL GET JUSTICE!!!!

I was ripped off bad by DMI in fact I went through years of trying to get back the money they owed me and finally won. The only problem is that I need the name of the bank they use so the writ can be served and restitution can be made. I hear they were forced out of business by the authorities for their fraudulent practices. So, time is of the essence. If anyone knows the bank they use I would really appreciate it posted here for me. I know many people got checks from them that bounced but the name of their bank on the check should be enough for me to finally get some closure. Thank you for your help and I am sorry this has happened to so many people. I encourage everyone to seek justice and sue them in order to get some peace of mind maybe they will rethink opening up under a different name to resume practices as usual.

Physical Address

I was wondering if their physical address can be shared. They are totally blowing me off now, I call and they answer but as soon as I mention who I am they hang up on me. I am VA and looking to sue, which is going to be costly but it is the principal now. They will NOT tell me their physical address. Their supervisors are liars! I had one tell me that I needed to retract my BBB complaint before they would settle. I can send you my emal if there is a physical address. My husband is VERY pissed about this and would love nothing better then to visit them in person!

I am having almost the same problem.  Call the supervisor, he never calls back.  I have been waiting since Monday for a call back from that dude and still waiting.  They picked up our stuff March 22nd and it is APril 11th and we are still without our stuff.  I am so worried that everything is going to be broken.  And we decided to pay for everything in full.

THe receptionists answer the phones, and say they will call you back, they never call back, they take down your phone number a million times.  This is horrible.  The supervisor said they take off $50.00 every day they are over.  I said that will not be good enough.  I was told my stuff would be deliverd the first week of April, and it is the second week, and still nothing.  I am going to contact a lawyer regarding this issue.

I did some research and found out the physical address of their company to which Jonathan was amazed I was able to do. I then pretended to be someone else again to get him on the phone.  He finally paid me my settlement but I had to threaten him the old fashioned way. I told him off, called him every name in the book, and told him that I would have friends of mine in CA come down there and demand my money!! They hide their physical address but I found it because of sheer spite. My check came 2 days after this phone conversation, good luck to you as well

I am so sorry you had to deal with this company too. I recently used them to move some items from my parents house in California to where I am in VA.  Some of these items were family heirlooms.  To make a long story short, they kept putting off the delivery date due to a delay in Ohio.  then it was a totally different driver that delivered my stuff. Before even weighing the truck after loading they told me i was over weight and had to pay an additional 800.  I argued and they finally said ok. When the truck got here it was raining and the driver told us that he couldnt park in our driveway and we needed to meet him up the street and he would load our items on to a minivan and we can unload it ourselves at our house! After that was straightened out they unloaded and for one they lost our family bedspread. Two, the nice filing cabinet was in pieces, like someone had thrown it on the ground! Our desk had chunks taken out of is and the whole top half was ripped from the desk.  Then my grandmothers antique dining room set with 6 chairs had chunks missing our of the chairs.  Someone named Shawn called me and said he was taking over for Jonathan and were going to settle with me for 405.00 but when they sent the claims release it was only for 205.00.  He also told me that they would only pay me if I retracted my statements to the BBB and Yelp.  It is now the principal of the matter, these people dont care about what they did to your items.  I have looked into filing a suit and it will cost more then I am looking to recover but I am going to do it. This company needs to learn they cannot treat people like this!!!
