Dmi movers Delta moving inc 14 days of horror Simi Valley California
14 Days of Horror with DMI Movers
Days for delivery
Promise- 4 to 12 days
Actual - 14 days
Service
Promise- will disassemble, and reassemble at delivery
Actual- the sub-contractor who delivered REFUSED to reassemble my tv rack, computer table, etc. see pictures. On top of this, I lost some items, like my garden tools (weed eater, kitchen item, etc). At least two of my important items were broken, including my elliptical machine. Take note that the one who delivered is not an employee of dmi movers, so my stuffs were loaded, unloaded, several times before it reached me.
Staff
Actual- they are sweet and nice while offering their service. BUT as soon as your stuffs are loaded in their, which means you can't back out anymore, they will miraculously transform to being monsters. Jonathan, the supervisor, threatened me that he will recall my stuffs in California after I complained about the delayed delivery. This guy is a big liar. The other staffs will become unhelpful after you are trapped.
Price
Initial quote- 2100
Actual- 3600 (I just negotiated this price, their initial charge was $3,900)
Their strategy is they'll give you a "binding" quotation. But on the day of pick up, you will be shocked that the price will soar, and offcoarse, you can't back out anymore. They charged me a total of $680 just for the packing materials they used. They will not explain this in detail before they pack your stuffs.
Overall, do not use this company. Save yourself from headache and disappointments. If I were to do this again, I will hire a company that will pick up and deliver my things. Use pods, upack, or just hire lifters and rent uhaul. It will save you headache because everything is predictable. With dmi, it's absolutely unpredictable and extremely poor service
