Doba doba.com I can't believe I'm that stupid .. should have come to Ripoff Report first to get the scoop on Doba Internet
Doba at doba.com offers a dropshipping service, which if you read the reports on RipoffReports is a high-priced choice compared to China or sourcing your own products to sell.
Anyway, most of the reports on Doba are more than a year old, but lately (late July), they popped up again. I take that as a sign that the economy is really bad. More people need a bona fide way to create a new business or make money online.
Well, believe me, Doba and their partners at Commerce Rocket.com are definitely not the way to go!
I went through trial periods on both Doba and Commerce Rocket, then signed up for both based on reps promising to build the website, load products, etc. It sounded like all I would have to do would be market and sell products. Well, that is definitely not true... based on the limited work done by Doba, I would still have to work about 2 weeks to have a site up and running.
So don't believe what they tell you over the phone... high-pressure sales pitch is probably a fair description.
And, of course, after 3 days I figured out that neither Doba nor Commerce Rocket are for me ... they cost too much, and promised too much. Naturally, the folks at Doba refused to refund any of my $100 or $59.95 fees, even though it has only been 3 days. By the way, most of what can be done with Doba and the product inventory is not fully functional in the trial period, so don't believe that either!
I can't believe I'm still that stupid... feeling ripped off now for sure. Should have checked RipOff Report first!
Beware of what you get yourself into... let my lesson be a guide for you. Using Doba and Commerce Rocket are not cheap and they leave you with a whole lot of work to do... it's not as easy as they promise it will be. It's also worth reviewing the other Doba comments on RipOff Report. Makes a good history of what not to do online.
