Complaint Review: Doba Dropshipping

Doba Dropshipping Should have Ripoff Report first but as with all high pressure sales they catch you unawares and don't give you a chance to do the research. Orem, Utah

Another one bites the dust and this time it's me.  I signed up for my free trial on doba because I am trying to do some selling on ebay and craigslist.  The next day I receive a call from one of the staff telling me all the benefits of signing up for an extended package because it saves you all this money, etc.  What they don't tell you if you agree to this is that it automatically voids your free trial.  They also fail to remind you that all fees are nonrefundable.  Since I was driving and not in front of my computer I was unable to reread the terms of agreement and like an idiot did not ask the right questions.  I gave the representative my information but because money is tight only had him take out half of the payment and set up a date to pay the remainder of the fees.  On Friday (this would have been near the end of my trial period) when the remainder of the fees were due I received a call telling me that it was time to make the remainder of my payment.  I explained that I had reviewed my finances and was unable to do that at this time and that I needed to opt out.  He talked me into forking over another $50 to keep my options open.  I explained that I was in the middle of taking care of my 3 yr old grandson who has been quite ill and did not have time to deal with things at that moment.  Monday morning they withdrew another $50 from my account and by this time after reviewing my finances I realized that there was no way I could afford the program.  Besides I had also checked out several other dropshipping companies and was really not impressed with Doba.  When I called Doba on Monday to opt out of the program I was told "Too Bad; So Sad" There were no refunds to be had.  I figured I would be out one months fee of $59.95 instead I am out $209.95 with a membership that I don't want lasting through Feb of 2010.  The person handling my call basically told me tough and was not polite of helpful in any way.  There is no place on site with Doba to file a complaint either so I just have to bite the bullet and hope I can make ends meet for another 2 weeks.  Next time someone tries to high pressure me over the phone I will tell them that I have to research the offer before I commit and if they tell me it is only good while they have me on the phone. I will tell them "No thank you."
