ATTN to anyone considering doing business with DOBA, DONT DO IT!!! And I hope Doba reads this too because they know d**n well they engage in fraudulent practices & so I hope they do read this and all the other complaints against them.

First off, let me start start off by saying that trying to cancell the subscription to Dobas 7 so called "free" trial period is like pulling teeth.Naturally their entire demeanor changed from yesterday opposed to today. When I called yesterday I was interested in their 7 day free trial and they couldnt have been more pleasant but today when I called to cancel, it was like being introduced to Satan. Rude Rude Rude Rude!!! They also "interrogate" you about your motives and reasons for this cancellation instead of just accepting the fact that u are NOT interested as if they are the ones who will decide if they feel your reasons for cancelling is "good enough" & I quickly let them know that I am the one who makes that call, not them and if I so choose NOT to grant a reason that is my choice, period, end of story! What I say GOES when it comes to my credit card and my money.

It all started yesterday (12/27/06) when I seen Dobas website and they have a 7 day trial for free. I called them to ask a series of questions such as "Will I be obligated to stay" "Will my credit card be billed if I cancel within my time frame allowed (7 days and on a weekday)"Will it be hassle free" and "Are there any hidden charges or obligations" and "What is the exact procedure if I do in fact cancell, will I get proof that I cancelled"? At this time, they were pretty professional and friendly so I hung up and went for it (the 7 day free trial). Upon browsing I clearly seen that their so called wholesale prices are a little bit cheaper than the stores, but only by a few dollars but then u end up spending far far far more because of the shipping fee and dropship fee.

For example: If I wanted to sell lets say a certain brand of perfume and I wanted to buy it in bulk, this perfume was $7.81 per bottle for one on Dobas website but in the store, its $9.19 which is a $1.38 cent difference. Yes, its cheaper...But is it "wholesale"? Hmmm......It had the retail value listed at $38.00 which is 100% bullsh*t. So ok, I save $1.38 and so lets say I purchased 30 bottles from Doba at $7.81 this would total apprx $234.00 which doesnt leave much of a profit but hey, its still cheaper. Now, u gotta add the $5.95 drop ship fee and then an additional $2.00 ship fee. So if u add their so called "wholesale price" for one bottle for $7.81 and then add the $5.95 and then $2.00 that makes that one bottle of perfume actually cost $15.76 for the one bottle when one bottle of that particular perfume costs $9.19 at the store. I would make more of a profit buying all those bottles from the store and then sending them out myself via post office because not only would I not be able to make a profit, but I would actually loose money. Who does this? Who? So anyways, I did some other price checkings regarding other products and it was the same result. The reason I did the first one regarding that perfume is because I am very familiar with the price in stores as far as that perfume costs since a neighbor of mines love it. Now I know places like Walmart and other stores get theirs far far cheaper because they buy in massive bulk and can guarantee it which is understandable, but who would spend money only to loose more of that money? U gotta spend money to make money I understand, but the idea is to make a profit and with Doba, not only would I not make any profit, but I wouldnt even end up making back what I spent because the only way that would be possible is if I marked up the price of that perfume significantly in my own store and then expect customers to pay that instead of paying the reg price of $9.19.

So last night I see that Doba called me once (after 8 pm) but I was unavailable and then there was not one, not two but 5 more calls from them today on my caller I.D. and the one came in when I was getting ready to go where I needed to be, shortly after 8 a.m. They could of woke me up, so why was they calling? Well, I hadnt cancelled as of yet so I didnt know why but I called them back today to cancell (24 hours after I signed up) and asked them to cancell my subscription and also, to inquire why they was calling me so much!! Thats obscene. The convo went something like this:

I would like to cancell my subscription sir....

Doba: Cancell? ughhh...ummmm....ugh well, ummmmmm...Ok Maam, your subscription has been cancelled!!!

Well sir, dont u need my name, account info or telephone number?

Doba: oh......yes...I got that info already!!! Your account has been cancelled...

What is my name sir? Hello? Hello?

*click*

So I called back only to be taken through the same bullsh*t from another Doba rep only this time I didnt act like I wanted to cancell and gave my name and information and telephone number and made d**n sure my info was pulled up and then stated I wanted to cancell. I was interrogated as to "why" and when I asked whom I was speaking with, this man stuttered and said "Ummm, my name"? "Oh, my name is Bob" (ye, sure its Bob)
When I asked for his employee ID number he stated they were not allowed to give those out and then I insisted on a cancellation confirmation number and he again, stuttered and threw any ole number out there and when he hung up on me and I called back, this new person didnt have any info that I cancelled AT ALL and knew nothing about this cancellation confirmation number. Needless to say, I dont think my account is actually cancelled.

So what I ended up doing was calling my credit card company to ensure that Doba CANNOT bill my card and I found out that Doba billed me yesterday for $2.00 and wont provide me a reason for this and right at that moment of speaking with my credit card company, they informed me that a company called "Doba" was trying to access my account and bill it!!!!!!!!!!! I had only been off the phone with Doba at that point apprx 5 mins and they were trying to bill my card BEFORE I could handle it with my credit card company. Well, sorry Doba....I beat u to the punch!! ha ha!

Doba had NO RIGHT to bill me $2.00 and o right to TRY to bill my card for the full amount in the first place and they will not be able to no matter how hard they try. Now, its been about 2 hours maybe since I got it all taken care of and my caller ID is showing 4 calls from them since then and I got not 1 but 2 voice messages from them speaking to me in a nasty firm and stern tone DEMANDING that I call them in a certain time alotment or else!! Their tone was almost threatening not that I feel threatened though, but its their attempt at trying that makes me laugh. Doba, get over yourselves.....U are not entitled to jack sh*t from me and u are not getting sh*t from me so just deal with it. Just be happy with the thousands of other customers u ripped off and got over on with your "7 day free trial" and your so called "wholesale prices".

Overall rating for Doba? 2 thumbs down and on a scale from 0-10....a zero.

I certainly hope this information helps anyone else who might be interested in doing business with Doba. I cant tell u what choices to make, but I d**n sure can share my experience.

Well let me tell you that its not only doba that ripped me off,but other dropshipping comanys that you just cant trust!
they take your money from your credit card and you go through hell to get it
back when you dont want to deal with the service.

Well I came up with a new way to not loose money......

Purchase a Pre-Paid credit card.. you know the one that you would put your own money on.
Put a just enough amount that would set you up with the program..

"Like doba $2.00 fee"

If you dont like the service you have to worry about them taking your money
because you didnt load it on there lol!!

HAHAHAHA to you doba rip off A******S!!!

Update on refund

Wow, my letter must of worked as well as 2 phone calls and one email to the CEO!

I did get back $175.10 this morning which is still not the $220.00 I invested and told Mr. Williams that I still expect to get the remaining $45.10 back as well.

So my advice to anyone reading this is, DON'T GIVE UP HOPE ON REFUNDS!!!

With enough complaints perhaps Doba will either redeem themselves and become truly honest or be put out of business if they choose to continue to rip people off.

I'll update everyone about the remaining refund and what other measures I take to help ensure this doesn't happen to other people again.

Hello,

I too have been ripped off by this company and I give you many kudos for outsmarting Doba. I wrote a new report today for I have not received my refund of $220.00. These people should not be able to continue to get away with this and I personally would like to see them shut down. It's not only my skin that concerns me, but also that of the many other individuals who Doba has ripped off. One lady on here had herself and other family members, three total, get charged huge differences in yearly membership prices.
These people are liars, thieves, scam artists and they need to be stopped. To play on persons desperation to make a living is just plain wrong!! I think I may soon become the next " Erin Brokovich" of consumer goods and to help end these companies fraudulant practices.
