Dobbs Tire & Auto rip-off deceptive company Manchester Missouri
I own a 1999 auto with 42,000 miles. I took it in to the shop for an oil change. The saleman told me I needed a water pump. Along with this he said I needed a new Thermostat (preventive maintenance) and a radiator flush and refill. I had dexcool in my radiator, which is supposed to last 150,000 miles.
I spoke to several mechanics and they informed me that the T/Stat did not need replacing (unless neccessary)and the radiator did not need a flush and fill at this time.
I was charged approx. $200 for work not needed. I called the main office and they defend the salesman. He stated I could have just said NO to the other repairs. I filed a complaint with the BBB

If your vehicle has Dexcool, then what Dobbs said is true.

You should do a search on dexcool on yahoo and see all the compliants, problems and class action suits being field because of that product.
I belive that after seeing all the evidence you will see that what work Dobbs had to do is probbably correct. I had a GM vehicle with dexcool and almost everything that had to do with the engine cooling system had to be replaced at 35,000 mi
