Complaint Review: Doc Woods Productions

Allow me to share my thoughts about this "Event" called the Call Of Duty Black Ops, as it actually happened. 

The website claims there is going to be a fun event for a spectator and then charges you to attend as a spectator. Granted, the charge was $5.00 per spectator (we had 3) and a charge from EventBright of $1 and some change. Not big money, but what you actually experienced here was not worth even a cent. Here is what the promoter claimed you would get....

As the battle is going on inside:

- Enjoy the outside view at pool side

- Listen to the heart- thumping sounds of music by our incredible DJs

-Savor the assortment of month watering food hot off the grill prepared just for you by one of our own Celebrity Chefs

Upon entering the room, you saw a dirty room with cardboard boxes thrown about. No one had information about when the event would actually start and there were several other "Spectators" who hadn't paid the money we had. Many were talking about how disappointed they were.

There was no practice area for any of the kids who were participating except for the few that claimed the 8 open seats and basically played for an hour without letting anyone else play. 

There were no chairs available so you had to grab some from an open room next door. There was no music and certainly no "Incredible DJ's" as the website claimed there would be.

There was no "Outside view at pool side" because the pool was closed and the outside area was dirty. 

There was no "assortment of mouth watering food hot off the grill prepared just for you by one of our own Celebrity Chefs"

I'm not sharing this complaint for anything other than this fact.  When we contacted the promoter "Doc Wood Production" who seemed interested in hearing what we had to say about the event, he basically belittled us and told us his events were amazing.  We didn't ask for a refund for my child's participation fees of $25 but simply to be reimbursed for the $15 plus fees we paid for the "Spectator fees" which we thought would be worth it because of what the website promised.  

The person who spoke to us was rude, full of excuses and said he would "Credit the $18.00 for us at the next event."  I will never see that money because I would NEVER attend a Doc Woods Production event ever again in my life.  

I would be very careful about what you pay for with this company.  We were 100% ripped off!
