Ok, I was going to Best Buy with my friend to pick up the new Raven Shield game on March 19, 2003, when we were approached by two guys in a red or green van. I do not remember the color, but it was a mini-van and I am certain it was either red or green.

Anyways, they told me they had an extra shipment of some $1999.00 speakers. DA 5.1-III PRO-SERIES III PROFESSIONAL HOME THEATER was the name of the speakers. There were two guys. They both looked like college students. Told me that if they gave the extra shipment to their boss, he would take it and sell it for income. So instead they sold it to me for $400, what we agreed upon.

To my surprise later, when I pieced the system together, I found out that the speakers sounded like s**t. I was hoping to sell the speakers on ebay to get extra cash. After I did that I went online and found out other people had the same story where two guys sold them a system they were told was worth a lot more than it was.

When I went looking in the speakers I found some white wool-like material in the bass speaker. I just hate how sick people are. It's pathetic when you see someone walking along the road and you can't offer that person a ride home because of people like those two con men who make everybody afraid someone is going to screw them over or hurt them.

I hope these people get caught. Our country does not need people like that cavorting around doing immoral and illegal things. I hope the phone number I gave helps. I tried it but only get an answering machine. Maybe it will help get these guys. By the way I was at the Best Buy next to the Florida Mall.

DOGG SEZ IT ALL ..HUMAN GREED IS THE MOVATING FACTOR IN THE PURCHASE OF THESE SPEAKERS...

I AM AN AUDIO ENGINEEER WITH 26 YEARS EXPERIENCE. I, TOO, HAVE BEEN APPROACHED BY "THE TWO GUYS IN THE VAN" TO PURCHASE SPEAKERS. CLEARLY, DON'T DO IT!

HUMAN GREED IS THE MOVATING FACTOR IN THE PURCHASE OF THESE SPEAKERS...SOMETHING FOR NOTHING. IN ALL CASES, THE RIP-OFFEE WAS TOLD [IN EFFECT] THAT THE SPEAKERS WERE "HOT"...OR AT THE LEAST "VERY WARM."
THE "NO NAME" VAN SPEAKERS ARE USUALLY JUNK FROM TAIWAN OR KOREA.

IN MY CASE, THE SPEAKER SELLERS TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD BEEN REPLACING THE SPEAKERS IN A POPULAR LOS ANGELES NIGHT CLUB AND THAT THEY "HAD A FEW PAIR LEFT OVER" THAT THEY DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE BACK TO THEIR SHOP.

AFTER LOOKING AT THE CRAP SPEAKERS THEY WERE TRYING TO OFF, I INFORMED THEM THAT I WAS THE AUDIO ENGINEER FOR THE CLUB THAT THEY HAD JUST MENTIONED. THE GUYS TOOK OFF.
