This not a rating this is a warning doggie district is a day care SCAM and this is coming from aN upset ex-employ, its not about y I'm doing it, its about what information is valuable to you. everything I say here is true to the best of my knowledge no deliberate misleads.

Doggie district promote cage less play BUT what you don't know is they have dogs that are considered and labeled as "potty brakers" PB's (dogs that don't get along with other dogs) PB's are separated from group play so they get let out for potty brakes that can average between 10 to 40 min depending on the amount of dogs that we have some time more some time less then that even, we promote to customers that there dogs will only be in the cage for no more then 2 hours a day to sleep and to eat, LIE! more like 4 to 5 hours for average day care doggs not including potty brakers of course who has 5 time less then that.

In between October and November there was an out brake of giardia because the owner did not want to fix the drainage problem on the yard witch allowed water to settle to form bacteria and fungus, mixed with urine, fecal matter and possibly blood that was rinsed off from play grown into a pool that is exposed to the dogs on that yard where it is believed the out brake started, it was atleast 15 or more cases reported to doggie district buy owners and they never inform other clients about the out brake instead they continue to take in more dogs in the hopes of them not catching it. During my time at doggie district ,doggs have been left out side over night and the clients was not informed, there has been a death that was reported hours after a client picked up there dog. The yard drainage system problem is not safe, inside the room where they house dogs occasionally let out a natrual gas smells, they board dogs that has kennel cough and that are aggressive to others, they don't inform clients that their pets are potty brackers ( limited yard play by 80 percent). It's a reason they don't provide live footage of dog play like other day cares, why?! they will be expose! Beware of places who limit what your able to c in the facilities if possible look into the run that your dog will be in and have him put in it as you observe, be apart of the evaluation of your pet, don't let them tell u that it would be harder for them to do it this way. Your best bet is to go to a place who provide live footage of yard play that almost guarantees safe boarding and yard play. Camp xxx (((REDACTED))) is one of those places.

Doggie District Great

#2Consumer Comment

As an owner of a dog, I am familiar with Doggie District. Yes, owners do know about potty break dogs. It is common knowledge. Thanks to Austin, these dogs have a place to go. They are not accepted at the competitor you mentioned. And at a vet hospital they would be out even less. Giardia and kennel cough occur at all the daycares. It is a risk in a large dog environment.

I know of dogs getting diseases etc by kenneling in a hospital. While the writer presents negative information on the overnight position, just know that there is no overnight person at all at the competitor location,, such as the one he mentioned. We called and that competitor said no overnight person cause itnwould disturb the dogs. Considering the number of medical issues that can occur at night, we decided to not go there.

This is also true of many regular vet offices. Many have no overnight staff at all. As far as outdoor time, dogs go out around 7 am. They come in for lunch around 11 until 1. Anyone that is familiar with bloat understands that this actually is good. The 2 hours inside give rest time and food digestion time. They then play from 1 to 4 when dinner starts. So yes, if a dog comes in at 8 am it is possible they are outside only 6 hours. That is not a problem. Too tired dogs get cranky. There are good and bad people with dogs.

I have seen seen poor men and women. What it takes is a dog person. DD has been making huge steps with their business. So much has changed in the last few months....DD South has a great manager and Asst Manager who really care. I get a call if my pup shows any out of the normal behavior...I like that because they know my pup. . I am glad the reporter is happy where they are. Just know that DD is a great place. Problems can occur everywhere, vet boarding, DD and the competitor he mentioned where my friends dog picked up an intestinal infection that put them in the hospital.
