To make a long story short, I was fired from my first job at a local theme park. However, I later realized I was scewed the moment I was told I was going to be fired, because Alan the supervisor's claiming I was coming in late and not showing up for work. However, I did show up and on time. I came in with a relative to work the 3rd shift. At times we were required to come in early, like 4:30pm, instead of 7:00pm or 10:00. The times I was late was when I had only one ride to work by my relative. My relative worked days, and therefore carried over second shift hours creating a strain on my work habits. I worked Dollywood for two-years. This particular business, the people, etc., seemed nice at first and ethical as the business itself claimed. Boy, I learned to never trust a business that puts its employees last. A business that uses intimidation, a mean supervisor to chew your butt...is the coward. Alan Hawkins claimed he would give me a medical leave. I went to the employers doctor, etc. Still I was yelled at and lied to and fired in October 2000. What a jerk this guy Alan was. Now I hear he's been promoted. A few other employees were fired along with me, after they heared or seen what happened to me. The Day shift and other employees on the park that heared about this from what I was told by my relative, were displeased with the decision of the newly appointed employer, Alan Hawkins. Everyone was sick of him, some tried to get him fired. Darn. Dollywood is a place where many now want a better job. Like me. A few employees that have been working for years have filed their two-weeks notice. I should have just stayed "quit" when I first left Dollywood. Oh well. It's only one job. I have a friend that has been fired. A doctor I met was fired when he used to work in a pharmacy. Well, my friggin back hurts a little from my injury on the job at Dollywood. The Department of Labor investigator blamed the doctor for not making a quick result in getting me back to work. I was tired of pulling a 2 1/2" thick garden hose over my shoulder. I've tried other ways to pull it. Just kept hurting me. Was mentally distressed from this too. We'll, I lost a career with Dollywood and enjoyed receiving free clothes for work. Now, I use my own clothes and have a more respectful job and higher pay!!!

I read your report and I thought id share with you my experence. I was hired in the magic shop at Dollywood by david talent. Little did I realize what I was in for.

First of all David was the resident magician for many years his main job was entertaining the crowds that came off the train. When he hired me I noticed that he had an attitude problem,He asumed that I didnt know anything about magic and when he prompted me to give a demonstration I did.I sort of stole his crowd and It was very obvious he was jealous of me.

I didnt want his job or anything I just wanted to work for Dolly and I had skills in magic.Well after that day he became more & more bothersome and while I was trying to help a guest he interrupted and said I need to talk to you!

Well, this is it I thought and he took me behind the wall fired up a cigarette and said that I STUNK!Knowing this to be untrue I said whats your problem and he said I spent to much time being friendly with the guests and that was wrong, I told him that I didnt mean to upset him but I liked people and he said the most stupid thing to me he said he didnt give a F--- about these people that he was there to sell them magic tricks.

And with that I said well you know if you dont like people I dont want to work with you I QUIT!and by the way you have the biggest zit on your neck ive ever seen.Well I still go to Dollywood its not her fault her magician is a Ignorant a*s or is it?
