Dominion energy My bills were running 300-650 monthly in the winter. My bill in January was 640. We shut our heat off after that and our bills were still 300-400 monthly. They kept saying my hvac was broken so I had it serviced and there was nothing wrong with it. Called them back and I was told there was nothing they can do because they just read the meter so we must be using it that much power.

I really cannot believe that we use that much power. Our heat stays on 72 and so does our air and they are barely ever on as no one is home all day long. Our bills still stay in 200’s in the summer. I got put on a payment plan. I paid the first payment installment and then paid double what I was supposed to the first month to cover the first and second month. Then the third month I paid the installment that was promised plus and additional 150.

The same day they took the 150 out of my account they disconnected my powers for non payment. When I called they said that even though I paid extra each month, they shut it off because I paid double the first month and skipped the second month even though that double payment covered that installment. Then they tell me in order to get my power turned back on I have to pay 586 deposit fee and 180 reconnection fee plus my bill.

They wanted almost 1000 just to turn my power back on even though my actual bill was only 190 something that I actually still owed them. They are over charging people and then shutting off their power in order to get deposits or reconnection fees. This company needs to shut down and accountable for ripping consumers off!
