I recieved my package in the mail, and was expecting it to be a secured credit card, because the sales lady told me that it would be prepaid for the first 6 months, after that it would not (I assumed it would be like a regular credit card after that). After looking over the materials sent to me, I decided that I changed my mind and did not want the card. I called the company on Friday, 9/24/04, and was put on hold for a long time. When I eventually spoke to somebody, they told me that the fee was non-refundable (something they did not tell me whenever I agreed to the card), and that there was nothing I could do about it.

So, today I began researching the company and found numerous complaints just like mine... and worse! After reading about all those people who never got anywhere dealing with the company directly, I decided not to waste my time, and go directly to higher authorities. I have filed a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau, and I will be contacting my bank on Monday. All I would like is my $279 back, and if they were a legitimate company committed to customer satisfaction, they should be happy to issue a refund.
