My son recently bought a new vehicle from Don Brown Chevrolet. During the course of the negotiations he was told they would give him 15,000.00 for his trade in, they gave him 12,000.00 and automatically tacked 3,000.00 onto his financing.

He told them he got the GM discount through work, without researching it they gave him a GM employee discount which was more than his discount, then they took it away and added the additional amount to his financing. The sales man as well as the General Managers right hand man accused my son more than 4 times of being a liar regarding the discount even though my son didn't lie it was their mistake.

Their answer to the discount situation was to lie and say that my son was actually my sisters son or stepson since she does get the full GM discount, which of course if discovered would lead to her losing her job, but to that answer they replied "Oh well" There's more to this story but I've tried to put in the most important information. Moral of the story, don't shop at Don Brown if you want to be dealt with in a fair and eithical way.

my son decided he wouldn't sign Don Browns contract

After filing this report my son decided he wouldn't sign Don Browns contract. They came to our house to pick it up because of the changes they made to it and my son couldn't drive there because of a recent surgery. When they came to the door he told them he was taking the vehicle back and he would go somewhere else to get a vehicle. A few hours later the GM called to offer him the original discount that they had put in the contract, fortunately my son is smart and told him he still wasn't interested. He's taken the vehicle back and has since purchased a new vehicle from another dealer that dealt with him the way he should have been treated from the start.
