DON PAYE - C&J TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIR REBUILT TRANSMISSON WENT 2000 MILES TRANS SIEZED COST $5800.00 TO FIX WILL NOT WARRENTY. HAWKINS Texas
I had taken my 2000 pete to don and told him my transmission was out he asked if i was sure and i told him it was just my best guess.he said if i diagnosed it he would only be responsible for what i told him if he did it he would be responsible and make necessary repairs.i told him to diagnose the problem and repair it and also to replace the clutch and bearing with self adjusting clutch like was in from factory while tranny was out.5 days later he called and truck was ready 2 days longer than promised but better be done right than fast i said.HE told me he used a much better clutch than was factory installed not what i told him to install.I only got 2000 miles down the road and tranny siezed up.I got it into kenworth in morton il and the got right on it.When they got it apart i walked over from my motel the said the tranny was misaligned during instalation which burnt up the input bearing and shaft and got metal parts in rest of tranny and wiped out the bearings.HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF REPAIR COST.what a joke.I had old parts shipped back so he could inspect them with a letter from kenworth shop foreman explaining what he done wrong.
Im now having parts examined by eaton.Also the clutch he installed was old style kenworth said not to many people even use these anymore the more often than not install easy pedal clutches this was probably one he had laying around.WHAT A RIP OFF SHOP AT LEAST KW AND PETE SHOPS BACK THERE WORK.SEE YOU IN COURT RIP OFF MAN

FINALY MY LAWYER GOT INSURANCE COMPANY INFO AND AFTER $3000.00 IN FEES THEY PAID FOR THE SHODDY WORKMANSHIP.WHY HE LIED AND TRIED TO CHEAT ME MAKES NO SENSE BUT IM SURE HIS INSURANCE COMPANY LET HIM KNOW THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSSINES IT COST THEM A LOT MORE THAN I WAS ASKING FOR.

ALL PARTS WERE INSPECTED BY EATON FACTORY REP.HE CAME TO SAME CONCLUISON IMPROPER INSTALITION.TALKED TO OWNER OF C&J REPAIR SHOP NOW HE SAYS HE HAD PETERBILT IN LINDALE TX INSPECT PARTS AND SAID IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT.SO I TOOK PARTS TO SHOP FORMAN AT PETERBILT HE SAID IT WAS DEFINITLY A BAD INSTALITION AND HE HAS NEVER HEARD FROM THIS DON PAYNE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.WHAT A LIAR THATS 3 OPINIONS FROM PROFESIONALS AND HE STILL WONT ADMIT HES WRONG.THIS PLACE IS A MAJOR RIP OFF RUN BY A CON MAN.IF YOU CANT RUN WITH THE PROS DON START A LAWN SERVICE!
