Here's the SCAM. Jason Mills replies with the following I have received your signed contract and arrangements have been scheduled for the upcoming shoot. Your retainer fee is scheduled to be mailed to you this week from one of the sponsor for the event along with the funds that you will use to pay for the equipment rental cost reason being that, the payment for the equipment has to be billed to the photographer's name using it. That's the acceptable business terms by the supplier. Kindly get back to me with your detailed information as listed below that will be used to mail the aforementioned paycheck for your retainer fee and equipment cost. Attached to this email is a contract agreement i need you to endorse.

 Review it carefully and sign it after doing so, then email me back with a copy of the signed contract so i can commence with further arrangements. A digital tech will be assigned to you for the shoot. Also i need to know if you'll be bringing a photo assistant or any other person with you to the shoot so i make arrangement for their VIP access cards that will allow them access to the shoot location and welfare. We will be supplying the models and stylists so your main responsibility is to be the sole photographer. I will be on set during the shoot along with members of our team to represent the companies wishes, ie to stand in as creative director and we will be having a pre-production meeting prior to the shoot. I will convey details to you as event unfold.

 We'll be renting the camera and lighting equipment from a rental company that you'll use for the shooting. We will be covering the cost of renting the gear. You'll have one week for a post production after the shooting and have the images delivered in digital format. THEN: They mail you a fraudulent check, ask you to deposit the check into your account, then ask you to send them a huge portion back which makes no sense until 72 hours pass and your bank calls you and tells you you've made a deposit with a fraudulent account number and you're on the hook for the total amount plus whatever legal fees and issues are incurred due to the fraud.

Please be informed that C&A is neither co-operating with a company called REELTIME Media Production, nor we have planned a shooting as described in the photography agreement you sent us. We are really sorry that you have been bothered with this matter, but this issue is completely outside C&A's knowledge and control. We are currently investigating with our US based lawyer what legal actions could be taken against the unauthorized use of our company name and trademark for such dubious offers. Moreover, we are going to inform the US government about the activities of this company. Please be informed that the US government also offers individuals the opportunity to report such scams.
