Our technician, Wes, installed a line of flex duct across the trap door that leads into the attic. We had discussed 2 possible locations for the flex duct, and settled on one directly over the gable vent. Flex duct would be strapped to ceiling, drop down at the wall, and elbow out to the vent. The other one we discussed was over the gable vent, but off to the left. Wes installed it was about 4 feet below that second option, rendering our trap door almost impossible to get through without damaging the flex duct.

Additionally, they told us that they would have put it where we originally discussed, but "Lowe's didn't have flex duct long enough" and "our ladder isn't tall enough to reach above the gable vent".It is not acceptable to do a poor job just because they came unprepared. If they did not have the right tools, they should have left to get them and returned. This job had been delayed once already, and I suspect they were eager to get it done.

Additionally, when we got the invoice, we were privy to what Wes probably thought was an 'internal only' blurb about the job. Needless to say, his write up was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful, to both me and my fiancée.
