Complaint Review: Double Tree by Hilton

Double Tree by Hilton West Palm Beach Florida location. Stole money from me by not allowing me to use a prepaid fee. Imagine you book a hotel thru a company like Trivago or Priceline for a multiday stay at a Doubletree by Hilton hotel. And due to travel delays you cannot call tbe hotel from 3 to 6 pm the first day of your trip. They can and do cancel your pre paid non refundable reservation and keep all of the money you paid. It is in their cancellation policy Hilton corpration turns a blind eye to this rip off only saying it is up to the location owner. West Palm Beach Florida

I booked a two day stay at Double Tree WPB thru Priceline. Due to travel delays I could not arrive until the next day. I never asked for a refund for the first day, only wanted to check in for the second day I had prepaid for. 2 people Leslie, and Robert at the Double Tree location told me and Priceline. They had cancelled the reservation and I could not stay st the hotel unless I wanted to pay a second time. Meaning they were unjustly enriched and were demanding me to pay for 3 days of a 2 day stay. Priceline was very good about trying to resolve the issue after I pointed out the had not informed me of the local hotel penalty. Look, I never asked for anything free, all I wanted to do was stay at DoublTree for one of the 2 nights I made a prepaid reservation. So Buyer Beware, if your plane is delayed coming into P B I airport the local hotels are trying to rip you off by keeping you nonrefundable prepaid reservation and selling your room at a higher price, even if it is back to you. I am not done with this, I am going to file a complaint with the State Attorney and the BBB just to start. Please spread the word apparently hotel cancellation policies are now the wild wild west.
