Complaint Review: Doug Haley (Douglas E. Haley) Atlas Custom Homes (Texas)

Beware of Doug Haley. He is the nicest person when you meet him but a snake in the grass if you get into business/home dealings with him. Doug Haley will charge you for things he did not do (in my case, he charged $600 for a soil test that was not even performed on my property) He does NOT pay his bills. Doug Haley charged me $1000 for a set of plans and has not paid the plan designer the $550 owed - needless to say I cannot get my plans that I paid Doug Haley $1000 for.

DO NOT give Doug Haley any money upfront. My best advice is to RUN, not walk, from any dealings with Doug Haley. Research Doug Haley online (wish I would have) You will see complaints, bankruptcies and name changes. He was Atlas Custom Homes working out of his home at Lake Whitney, Texas (White Bluff Resort) when I began dealing with him in the fall of 2016 through March 2017.

Although he ripped me off, I dodged a bullet by not continuing any business dealing with him. I hope this helps anyone who is considering having any work or building by Doug Haley.
