Doug Schrandt and his fellow Christian buddy Jim Baker should be avoided at all costs in doing any business whatsoever. They held conference calls to attract buyers to their "Unsecured Corporate Lines of Credit" scheme back late last year and up until a few weeks ago. I got burned by these guys as I'm sure many others did - to the tune of 16K-24K and up.

Basically they claimed to be able to help me get Business lines of credit and did nothing other than take my money and close their doors. Probably the worst part about it is their use of a "Good Christian family" background as a tool to gain trust. Quite frankly disturbing.

If they were truly good Christian people they would have stood up for their errors and admitted their program was nothing what they claimed and repaid the thousands of dollars they received for services not rendered. If you want more details email me @ (((REDACATED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))

My name is Don and I filed a report in support of Mr Lumpkin's post. Since that post Mr Schrandt has been in contact with me. He has since apologized for the the financial hardships his bankruptcy had inadvertantly imposed on me and my family by leaving me holding a tremendous amount of debt from my investments with him. At the time the real estate market had hit bottom; which is what we were investing in and he had just lost his wife and had 5 children of his own to now raise on his own. I always trusted Doug and felt helpless when things went south thus I filed the report. Since that time Doug has found a way to renew my faith in him and people in general.

Doug has prospered since that time and contacted me as he felt the need to make things right financially between us. Doug contacted me to tell me that he hadn't been able to let go the fact that he left me to struggle financially and wanted to pay back my losses from our partnership. Doug has been doing just that true to his word. This is the man I went into business with in the beginning and would do again after this. Blessings come when least expected and from the most unexpected at times. Tell me where in a business relationship would an ex partner come back and do this? I'll tell hardly any. Since it can't be deleted I fully retract my previous report on Doug Schrandt.

Mr Schrandt & Baker,

These two gentlemen were like two compulsive gamblers using other people's money to hedge there bets. For the record this company no longer exists and the doors are not open. Jim Baker was the first to file bankruptcy closely followed by Doug Schrandt. I was never aware of the financial debt these guys had amassed until after the damage was done. They left numerous people, many friends and family, with tremendous debt and skipped town without notice. I know this as I've had people come to my home looking to find Doug. In this particular case the person had paperwork, from Doug, stating that I was a fellow investor in a business he invested in which I was not. Dougs first wife died and he sheltered all the insurance money, filed bankruptcy and was gone. 6 months later he was remarried and now someow has money for expensive vacations with his family (of 8-10), paid for fertility treatments for his new wife and is now selling essential oils (how ironic). Last I heard he bought 65 acres of land in Missouri somewhere which is where he currently resides.

If this man approaches you with any business venture and you agree to then you do so at your own risk as you have been warned. Don't buy into his Christian background BS. I'm still paying off the debt yeaars later and I've learned a valuable lesson.

The Truth About This Matter

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, February 28, 2008

We are sorry this person feels this way about us. We know who he is and have tried everything we can to help him, but here are the facts.

We are a real estate consulting company. We introduced this client to a company that we heard was able to help people get lines of credit. This individual had a contract with that company and he paid that company directly. We never had a contract with this person. We never handled any money from him. We never received any money for referring him. We have no money to refund and no service to perform.

We thought this company could perform as they had in the past, but that is the only thing we are guilty of. His complaint is misdirected; it should be directed toward the company he paid and had a contract with. What is disturbing is making up untrue and personal allegations, especially when he remains anonymous in this public complaint and our only recourse is to file a rebuttal on a website whose policy is to never remove a report, even if the allegations are proven false.

Our phones remain active and our doors remain open (same address we've always had).
