Complaint Review: downsview Auto LTD.

i first found of about downsview auto over the internet while looking for a new used car . i found them by accident and was cought by the free indash gps and the 8 year warranty plus the fact they would emmision and safety the car. biggest mistake of my life to even think this was too good to be true. when i went down to look at the cars i found one that fit the price range i was in, i then went back inside and told them the car i wanted and put a $500 downpayment.

the guy Sasha would run throw the documents with me faster than a bullet and did not explain what i did hear him reach properly me being dumb because i know better to not sign unless you understand but he seemed pretty nice at the time. i signed paid and was told they needed a week to get the car ready, i had told them i needed 2 weeks because my bank would take a while because they had recomend me to get a bank loan instead of finance sinced i was only short $3,000 for the car. they said it was ok . i was also offered the indash navigation system with rear view camera, ipod option etc with the 8 year warranty " that covers every" .

1 week later after giving them my insurance they called me and said everything was ready i can pick the car up . long story short the bank kick me in the balls n spit on me on the day of picking up the car  and said they wouldnt give me the loan anymore bc my paychk had $20 less than the one before which was more than $1,000 might i add. long story short i got the money together a week later and set the date to pick up the car, within this time it has been 3 weeks since i had deposit the $500 for them to fix anything they hadnt got done.

on the night i went to pick up the car it was late cold and they part the car in a dark spot so i couldnt see anything, i was a fool that was in a rush to get home and paid them the money before driving the car, note they will never let you inspect the car before you pay the full amount thier way of making sure they get your money and try to make sure you never get a refund. when i put the back plate on i notice there was no where to put the front plate so i am like WTF, i started to look in the car and notice the nav system wasnt there i stormed back inside and ask for my money and they said " NO" they said they did not offer me any gps etc with the car and lucky i had it in writing and showed it to them then they said oh ok well we have a shipment coming in 5 days i said ok .

on my way home i notice the car was stuck in gear at times and note manual transmission is not a fun car to drive when it needs to be fixed, i then got it to shift to 3 gear n note i was driving 1 hour n 30 mins away approx with traffic so picture that , my sister was with my driving behind me becuase she was the one who drop me there , she called me and said she see smoke coming out of the engine.

i said what ? and then find the nearest gas station n pull over to check , there was no oil in the engine, the transmission oil was pretty much empty, and the break flued was low. i put oil in the car drove it home gingerly.

next day i called downsview and spoke to the scum bag edie who was responsible to make sure the car was safe and ready , and told him he then insulted me by acting like he cared or didnt know he then told me to bring it back to the mechanic to get whatever problems fixed i had the car parked for 4 days taking the bus to and from work getting up 4 am.

when i brought the car to the mechanic he was rude and we had a big arguement he claim the car was good and it had oil in the engine and i ask him for proof that all these work was done? he shuffled and look knowing he had nothing then took my car and started to do the car on the car i told him i could smell burning wires and stuff n he said i dont know what i am talking about .

all he did was do a oil change and change the oil pan and head gasket this was work he claimed was done before he wouldnt need to change that if that was the case. i brought the car back to edie to put the plate holder and by the way the trunk had no carpet etc in there which i will post picture of the car was a mess.

3 weeks later i keep on calling edie back and most time they lied said he wasnt there at one point i was outside calling and saw him when they said that. 4 weeks later since i picked up the car i hadnt got the navi system edie then told me he didnt have to give me anything becuase it was a promotion that had ended so i ask why was it offered then if that was the case i wouldnt have bought the car becuase thats what added some value to it becuase the car was way over priced.

he then said he would give me a $50 gps so i could f**k off and i explode on him and then hang up at this point i started to call OMVIC which was a waste of time i then found out downsview is part of that group online with every used car dealer so dont bother filing complaint with then becuase they took downsview side before i could finish a setence.

i was driving the car one day from work n notice it wouldnt stop as it should was going 60k/h and it took about an extra 20 metre to stop im like wow, brought it to my mechnic and told him what happen he said there was almost no break flued i said no possible i put some in there when i pick up the car so he started to check and he said well this car is not road safe becuase the calipers are leeking flued so i tried to call downview to tell them at this point i was being send to voice mail a lot i called the next day and i was told by a a*****e he doesnt care and wouldnt let me finish my sentence he keeping saying edie isnt here edie isnt here not my problem and at this point every convosation i had with them was being recorded , he then hang up after i told him i couldnt wait till edie come back from vacation who else i can talk to.

i called edie 4 days later after parking the car and told him he said well i didnt know once again and then i told him i would get a estimate and he said he would pay the fee , i did and fact it to him he i called them again after 2 days n hes like come get your gps i went to see them and he told me he wasnt going to pay $160+ tax to fix it becuase his mechanic can get it done for $50 which anyone who has been driving for more than 5 months would know thats not true. because it needed to be replaced. we ending up argueing again , so i went outside to watch them put the gps in and it wouldnt work and they keep on changing the gps till one finally worked or atleast so i thought i test the bluetooth option was working the gps map was working radio was good so me like an idiot again drove away not checking everything

few days goes by im still trying to figure everything out then i notice the rear veiw option wasnt there the ipod option wasnt working, the instruction manual they gave me wasnt the write  one and when i called their mechanic tony from CARS by the way a crook too , he was never there 4th day later i was told downsview and them was in business no more because downsview owe them for 3 cars value at a lot of money, i then called downsview and the b***h who always pretend to dont know who i am said they are going out of business. so i called the A-protected place and they claim downsview is a liar and that the warranty is still safe and they told me that they lied about what the warranty covers and explained it to me better which was pretty much nothing. so i had to spend extra $200 and change to get more warranty just to be safe.

so i keep calling back and then this guy aron came on and said edie wasnt with them anymore and i told him my problem he said he would check with tony and called me back 3 days later i called and the bithc again pretend she didnt know who i was then i ask for aron and you know when someone pause just to listen to the person say tell him im not here thats what i got then shes like hes not here. then i called back block my number change my voice caught them n he was on the phone he said tony said the car passed sefety and i said i am sure it did because he is the one that passed it and he works for you so he would say anything.

i tried to explain to him the caliper is not something that goes over night and i didnt have the car for that long he was rude and ask me if i was done yapping and then when i said i wasnt hes like repeating him self n then i stop talking he said he would call tony n hand up i decided to fix the car my self becuase its my life not theirs and i will take them to court . i called back about the gps not working and they put aron on the phone " are you the guy with the caliper ?" i said yes " the same guy who report us to the better business Bureaus" i said yes " oh yea f**k off i wont help you and hand up"

here i am telling the honest truth dont buy from downsview they are scamers and liars .
