Dr. AJ Silverman, D.V.M Winters Chapel Animal Hospital Extremely TERRIBLE VETERINARIANS!! Atlanta Georgia

I used to be a client of Winters Chapel Animal hospital and my dog(s) used to be a patient of theirs. They were both Dachshunds, I no longer have them and have rehomed them for (certain reasons). Dr. AJ Silverman, D.V.M has given out personal information about one of my dogs that I did not give him consent to do so. He told person's veterinarian that purchased one of my Dachshunds from me about what had happened to her. This was back in June/July of 2006 and he never apologized for it. This veterinarian is NOT a good veterinarian at all. I immediately had him copy all of my dogs records and moved my dogs to another veterianrian that would never do something like this to his'/her's/their clients ever. I would never ever recommend Dr. AJ Silverman, D.V.M as a good veterinarian to anyone at all. If you have a new puppy or kitten or an adult dog or an adult cat, please stop seeing him immediately. If you have a new puppy, new kitten, new adult dog, new adult cat and are thinking about having Dr. AJ Silverman, D.V.M as your veterinarian...please do not have him as your veterinarian. He will do the samething to you. This is a warning to all the people in Atlanta, Georgia who have dogs, cats, puppies, and/or kittens (new and not new). I want to see Winters Chapel Animal Hospital be shut down for good. I don't think that it is ethical for them to practicing veterinary medicine and giving out personal information about the health care and treatment of their clients' pets and the people that own them. This veterinarian is completely ignorant and stupid too. I will pray and hope that he gets his license to practice veterinary medicine revoked permenantly. I know that he has already done it to several other people. Please DO NOT make the same mistake that I did by having him care for the health and physical well-being of you pet(s). I am in the process of filing a report against him with GVMA, the state of Georgia, AVMA, and AAHA, along with any other veterinary medical association that he might and/or might not be a member of.

Dishonest breeder

Being a dog breeder and selling puppies, why do you find it necessary to lie to a customer about an injury. You are proving that you are unethical in your business and want to pass the blame on someone else because you got caught in a lie. Clean up your act. You are one of the reasons dog breeders get a bad name.

Would you happen to be the same person who has filed several reports on here; 423161 and 382979 among others? There is also a rubber banded doxy involved if you follow along the internet in those reports as well as the original poster responding as a friend or friends, but later responding as herself (under the 'friends' name). I would just like to know if this is June again at this point being the stories and posts seem similar or related. Or if they are completely unrelated.

I can't believe these people are just so nasty!! Do they not have anything better to do than try to ruin reputations of good people. I have worked here for over 10 years, I was here with that Dachshund I saw the horrible wounds inflicted on it by the dog's owner I was there when the new owner said the old owner lied about the dog's injury. You should have been turned in for cruelty to animals and weren't, you should be thankful to us for that. We healed your dog!! How ungrateful and sick are you?

First off, my friend that made this report is not the only one that has a gruge against this animal hostpital and the STUPID VETS that own this animal hospital. I have done research on this animal hospital and have found that another person that used to use this animal hospital is not at all happy with them.

Dr. Nachamkin 04/17/2008 Posted by jmc2002

Overall premise of situation: Cat was throwing up night before for several hours. He was just put on Thyroid medicene by the Dr about a week prior which wasn't reacting well to him. So I took him in for a look at to see if the medicene was right strength. Not to run 15 other additional tests when he was a healthy cat before the thyroid medicene was prescribed. Situation and results: Winters Chapel and Dr. Nachamkin ran unauthorized tests (after getting off the phone with us and telling us no extra work would be taken because it would be a waste and nothing was likely to show) that ranked up a $300 bill. When I called to speak to the Dr about his choice of testing and authorization he proceeded to raise his voice and say I was questioning his skills as a Dr. I explained I wasn't but didn't give him a blank check for my cat services (especially when he A) had extra work 6 weeks prior all turn out to say he was a perfect cat and B) he said he appeared to be just fine in the office that morning and had not thrown up etc so he would give him IV and anti-nausea medicene and monitor him). So of course, I was shocked to see a $300 bill for bl*od work etc. He argued his rights to do what he wanted and then said he would take the charges off with a refunded check. I said thank you as I think that the panel ordered was out of line for the symptoms and past extra work of 6 weeks ago, He then yelled you will get your records back too and Hung up on me. That was uncalled for and unmature. Especially for a man of his age and practice discipline. Overall rating: I rate him with one- star. There is another Dr there that I have seen, a woman and she was pleasant. So I limit my review to him. But, there are many places out here and you seem to see whomever they give you so if the odds are you might see him, I would go somewhere else.

This review was left by another very dissatisfied client of Winters Chapel Animal Hospital. I agree with A.Hunter and my friend that made this report. This vet CAN'T be trusted at all. I am well aware that he has done this to several other people.

HAPPY with Winters Chapel Animal Hospital

I am a client of Winters Chapel Animal Hospital and all of our dogs have always been taken there...and received excellent care! We began going to this vet years ago when we purchased a puppy that had parvo. We were told by another animal hospital that he couldn't be saved and needed to be put to sleep, however we decided to get a second opinion. Luckily, we chose Winters Chapel. Our little puppy's illness was treated agrressively and I am happy to say he came home after a few days! I can't say enough about what it means when you are told your pet is too sick and cannot be saved, but to then find a vet that cares enough to fight to save them. And I do NOT understand why you would be upset about the release of your dogs medical history to someone that YOU are selling the dog to....it sounds as though you are trying to put blame on the Dr. when you are the one that appears to have been trying to mislead the buyer of your dog. It is not uncommon for someone buying a dog to want previous medical info....and a honest seller would have no problem with it!

I am a friend of the person that made this report. I have been excellent friends with the person that filled this report for 5 and a 1/2 years now. She told me all about this veterinarian and how he violated her and her pet's privacy. This goes to show that this veterinarian does not care who's reputation he ruins nor does he care about who he hurts. This shows just how evil and vindictive he is. This also shows that that he cannot in anyway be trusted at all whatsoever. This also proves that he is not a good veterinarian. I am a very strong believer in the saying "what comes around, goes around" and I know that this veterinarian will get just what he deserves and just what is to come to him soon. This veterinarian not only violated the trust and privacy of one of his clients, but also proved what a real blabber mouth that he truly is!! His web site says that he provides his clients and patients with excellent service, well that is just BULLS***!! The person that filed this report has been a wonderful, loving, and caring dog owner ever since she had gotten her first puppy at 13. My friend always goes out of her way to make sure that all of her dogs are well taken care of, spoiled rotten, happy, and healthy 24/7.

VERY UNTRUE AND THE REAL STORY

#10REBUTTAL Owner of company

I believe I know who this former client was as they were"a breeder of Dachshunds", unfortunately they did not leave their name. One of her dachshund's was presented to our Hospital with a rubber band around her muzzle. The rubber band had been placed on several days ago and caused severe deep lacerations around the dog's muzzle. The pup was treated for several day and responded well to treatment. The "Breeder" sold the pup and told the new owner that the lacerations were caused by a bite wound. The new owner took the pup to their veterinarian and their Vet call our office because she did not agree what was told to the new owner regarding the injury to the pup. We confirmed that a rubber band had cause the injury to the pup's muzzle. I have been in practice for over 30 years and have never had a situation like this one. I have worked very hard for the care and health of our four legged friends. I am suprised that this Web Site did not check on the information before allowing these false statement to go on the internet
