My 62 year old Mother trusted Dr. Anthony De Gennaro. She believed every word of his consultation, and allowed him to preform the surgury. He charged her over $6000.00 and when the surgury was complete, my Mother questioned the results. Her nose was no where near what it should have been, according to his consultation.

The first visit after the surgury, Dr. De Gennaro told her that after she completed the recooperation process, she would be fine. He assured her that his operation was a success, and that she had nothing to worry about. During this recooperation process, my Mother suffered a great deal.

About half way into this process, she decided to make an appointment with her long time primary physician. He carefully reviewed her nose, and gave her a thourough examination. She explained the problems with her air flow, and how difficult it was to breath. She also pointed out to him the fact that her nose was plainly crooked. These are all of the existing problems that she already had, which is what the surgury was to correct.

Her primary physician agreed with her, and advised her to go back to Dr. De Gennaro, and gave her a note with the examination results. By this time she is almost 3/4 of the way through the recooperation process, and she is finally able to obtain an appointment with Dr. De Gennaro.

She hands him the note from her physician, and explains the problems that she is still having. At this time she begins to become concerned, while at the same time Dr. De Gennaro seems to become aggitated. She asked him how much longer will it be before she feels the comfort that he promised she would feel from his surgury, and why is her nose still crooked.

Dr. Degennaro then tells my 62 year lod Mother who is disabled, and just spent $6000 on a proceedure that he consulted and assured, that he did the best he could do. He couldn't really do everything that needed to be done, because that would be considered cosmetic, and her insurance wouldn't cover it all.

She leaves his office depleated, in pain, and feeling like she was just robbed by a Dr. that she trusted. She eventually gets a little better as far as her breathing, but her nose is still crooked. In the following months to come as she is paying her bill to Dr. Gennaro the balance of what her insurance did not ccover monthly, the resession takes a turn for the worst. The money that I would send her every month stopped, because I lost my job.

Eventually she has to make the choice to buy food, or pay some bills late. It got worse before I was able to help her again. She went without cable for a while, and her bill to Dr. De Gennaro went delinquent. She asked for an extension, or if he could discount the bill due to the terrible work he did and the pain that she is still in.

Her requests eventually fell on def ears, and Dr. De Gennaro placed her into collections. Now she has a vicious collection agency calling her, she still has pain, she still has trouble breathing, and her nose is still crooked.

This man took advantage of an older woman with a low income knowing that she will most likely not be able to take legal action against him due to her financial situation. How does he live with himself????

I will continue this after I consult with the attorney who I hired to go after this cruel, and heartless man who calls himself a Doctor!!!

Your mother had surgery she could not afford period
What is the reason your mother needed to have rhinoplasty?? If it was for breathing problems then a ear, nose and throat specialists could have to it -
Plastic Surgery is for cosmetic purposes only
Not to repair breathing problems - fyi learn how to spell and you will be taken more seriously - as for a lawsuit - good luck on that one -
I am sure you will find a ambulance chaser to take that case (I know - I work for a Health Care company and we see this idiot cases everyday)
