The first email I received from 'Dr Bill' read as follows:
Hello,
My name is Dr Bill, I need a babysitter for my twins, i live in london Canada but am coming down to your area in the state for a Six Weeks seminar and am coming down with my set of twins,i lost my wife some months back and i cant leave my babies behinde here in Canada.
Please get back to me if you are intrested in babysitting for my twins.I need someone that will take care of them as her own baby.Please get back to be on time so we can arrange how possible this will be.

I had a craigslist listing for childcare and he found it and took advantage! Some of the emails that followed included strange things like:
1. father of a twin baby girl, They are two years old. So that means you are caring for 2 girls from 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.Transportation would be in your vehicle as I want them totally in your care at the above time frame
2. Hi,Thanks for the prompt response, I have informed my colleague that i have gotten someone who will be caring for my Kids and am really looking up to the care you will give to my KIDS.I will have the deposit and the payment for your service for babysitting my Kids made to you prior to my arrival, Also I have contacted a store that will be shipping the KIDS item to your address with the KIDS toys,i just want to inform you about this and i will be forwarding money for the KIDS item plus your a month wages,so you can forward the money for the KIDS item to the Store Manager and she can send the items to you before i arrive with the KIDS and so you can put everything in place prior to our arrival.Get back to me with you full name and address including your phone number.
Anticipating to meet you and get the best care for the KIDS.Also i will be staying in an hotel, i will let you know the exact address before we arrive. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks Dr Bill

Information reaching me now from FedEx that you are in receipt of the paycheck.It was delivered this morning,the 24th Oct, 2008.Here is what you would do now,take the check to your bank and have it deposited into your account for cash out immediately.As soon as you have the funds later today,you would proceed with the following: Deduct $500 which covers upfront deposit for your services of babysitting my KIDS while you send $650 to the store agent who would be supplying you with the KIDS items on Monday via Overnight courier. Proceed to a nearby Western union outlet with the $650 for the store manager and have it sent Western Union to the store with the below information:
NAME:TW YOUNG
CITY:NEW RICHMOND
STATE: OHIO
ZIP CODE:45157
As soon as the wire transfer is made,get back immediately with the wire transfer information:The total amount sent after deducting the western union charges from the "$650" with you and The MTCN number.I will forward these details to the store who would release the baby items immediately to you. And this is the last I've heard of 'Dr Bill'. We fortunately, caught it in time and taking the money to our bank because we suspect that the paycheck was a fake anyhow. We did not give him any personal information, and only used a business address to have the paycheck sent to. Fortunately I found safe ways around every thing...but appareantly I'm a bit naive when it comes to hoping people really are who they say they are and will do as they say they will.
If any one else hears from this man, please contact me! I would love to see him put away. Lying about a dead wife and sending phony pictures of two beautiful little twin girls. This man is sick in the head.
Watch out for anyone offering you money. Even if you receive a check, have it scanned right away at your bank for authenticity. DO NOT cash a paycheck from any one other than a personally known source. And certainly, do not Western Union money (or any other form of wiring) for anyone that you don't know personally.
Fortunately, we caught this scam artist in time. I just fret that so many others might not!

i was just notified by dr bill from canada to watch his twin girls and i thought it was weird that he did not ask anything about me or my life so i looked him up and this is where i ended up.here are his new emails he is sending and i am posting the photo he is sending of his girls.

So that means you are caring for 2 girls (Kate and Pat) from 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.Transportation would be in my vehicle as I want them totally in your care at the above time frame,hence include a reasonable cost of feeding for same time frame...What are your likes and dislikes in KIDS? the time frame is within May 10th.Get back so I can have you booked as I am rounding off plans and allotting money to issues that should be settled prior to my arrival.I have attached the KIDS picture for your viewing.What's the total price estimate for the time frame ?Get back to me ASAP.

I want to assure you that money is not my problem as i will be making payment arrangement to you prior to my arrival.You will be providing them breakfast,lunch and snacks.The Kids are potty trained and they are free eater. I just received an email from 'Dr. Lawrence Emmy' living in Canada as well. The email was unconvincing and was in response to a craigslist add I posted for childcare. So I simply searched for this so called doctor with the worst grammar and spelling I have ever witnessed and this website was the first hit I got.
In my inbox his name came up as Emmanuel Ojo. I hope this is his real name and that you get some vindication from it. Good luck and let me know!

I just recently posted a ad on craigslist for babysitting and Dr. Jeffrey contacted me through email and said everything you said in your report but you quoted him eloquently. Im sorry but if your trying to pass yourself as a doctor maybe you should practice proper grammar skills. A friend of mine found this page because i didnt feel like the whole thing was legit and he sent me this site and i read it and im like "omg this is everything he just wrote to me." I was stunned and shocked but also relieved that I found all of this right away instead of last minute. What do i need to do to get him in jail?

He is back and has changed his name. He is now using Dr Lawrence Emmy. He uses the exact same e-mails pictures and address. However he sent me 4 $500 american express travelers cheques. I called ahead and found they were not good. He also sent me a ladies name and address to send the money too to get the twins toys. He also called to speak to me on the phone. I believe he was using some type of recording. I did not cash these checks.

I was recently contacted by a Dr. Bill Smith on craigs list about an add for a wedding dress I posted. He said he wanted to purchase these items from me for his daughter and wants me to ship them to Nigeria. He said he wanted me to send him an invoice through paypal so he could pay for them using paypal. Just want to know if this is a safe transaction, or if I should ignore the e-mail? I know that using paypal is supposed to be secure, but not sure if I can get scammed. If anyone has any advice please let me know.

They send you a check for more than agreed claiming it was an error or the only way it could be done etc..
They tell you to cash the check and wire the excess funds back them.
After you do - you find the check is fraudulent and you get to pay the bank back the money - ALL OF IT!
NEVER WIRE MONEY TO PEOPLE YOU DO NOT KNOW! ITS GONE FOR GOOD.
