Dentist Dr. Rempala ripped me off to the tune of $6,000.00 He did substandard work on my 8 crowns. He them made wrong twice. Then he offered to redo 4 of the 8 which wouldn't solve my dental problems, so I turned him down.

My bite is wrong, my teeth hit the wrong way, I bite my lip when I chew or talk, I can't pronounce certain sounds (one of which is the sound my last name starts with) & my teeth hurt all the time.

Missouri requires dentists to oversee the dental lab work. Dr. Rempals didn't do that, not once, but twice. I may need dental implants to correct Dr. Rempala's lousy work.

In a letter he told the Missouri Attorney General he's more than willing to refund my money. That was a lie. The Attorney General's office gave up trying to get him to do it.

Refund - Better Late Than Never?

#3Author of original report

Yes, after almost a year of jerking me around, Dr. Rempala finally did the right thing & refunded my money.
Is getting a refund late better than never? Yes, but it hardly makes up for my stress, my time, my effort & the way I was treated by him & his staff.
In his rebuttle, Dr. Rempala places the blame on an associate. Whether or not his associate placed my crowns permanently without his knowledge is irrelavent.
Dr. Rempala had already made two sets of crowns for me. And again they were too short. They still would have had to be remade.
No doubt placing them temporarly would have made it easier for him to take them out. But I'd still need mulitple office visits, which means multiple times of going through pain & suffering.
Personally, I feel if Dr. Rempala wants to better serve his patients he should accept responsibility for his mistakes & learn from them instead of make excuses.

This individual was seen by my associate dentist who placed these crowns permanantly without my permission.

I have refunded this patient her money and I am very sorry she went through all of this.

I typically make my patients very happy. This was a very difficult case. I warranty my treatment for 10 years. This warranty was honored and I refunded her money to her. My practice provides extremely high quality care and unsatisfied patients are rare
