Complaint Review: Dr. Jerry Chow MD

This is to inform the community -- that you should be very careful when selecting ANY procedure by Dr. Chow (whose heathgrade score and similar reporting agencies indicate that he falls below the national average). Upon later investigating Dr. Chow after a primary doctor gave me a referral to him; I have found myself in an unnecessary perdictament and that in which I found out that by another relative (that which who did not undergoe surgery with him -- found him also improper and not sensitive to issues). I must say that when selecting the right surgeon; please put in a little more effort to realize what you are getting yourself into.

My situation was completely horrendous. Not only did I have a one surgery; but I also had a second surgery - which failed twice completely. Based on my information from a former report, aside from a report of what happen in the surgery as per Dr. Chow -- there is considerable evidence that there was in fact a mistake and a lack of medical jurisprudence when attempting to fully address all of my medical concerns. Simply: his work was lazy and not complete. He failed to fully complete a simple, basic surgery which should have been taken care of the first time around -- this was not a complicated surgery and was done outpatient and under local anesthetic.

Upon expression of my concern to staff and the staff whom specifically refused to allow me to speak directly to the doctor and became central liason to my specific concern's about how the surgery was handled, what was found as well as the failed outcome (TWICE, mind you again).... they refused to not only take responsibility for their actions but also rudefully and with ill-regard, a disabled in pain patient (...an established one MIND you) COMPLETELY HELPLESS saying that they will do NOTHING more to FIX and TAKE CARE of the continued issues at hand; stating "your on your own and you need to find another doctor to handle your issues - your chronic medical issues are not our problem!" What kind of medical ethical practice is that??? Taking no responsibilities for your failed surgery (... not that I would go back to him again; but wrongfully assumed that he would do more in the situation) that was due to failure at performing a simple medical task right. During the attempts in trying to get the explanation to what happen -- the staff rudefully hung up the phone.

This is completely unncessary medical practices and Dr. Chow is fully at fault!  I would think very HARD and would recommend to seek another surgeon for any medical services that you could currently be considering to have with Dr. Chow. You will gladly find that you have made a wise choice!
