When requesting a copy of documents , doctors should have you sign this .   Doctor was not able to provide me a copy of my signature that showed I would be charged this $25 ?  and then Charts/records are to be kept for five years to prevent this issue , this doctor is purely in greed as the storage fee is either made up or looking for a way to make monday.   Do not use this doctor as I will tell the community on our community forum which goes to over 2000K people and the BBB, please spread the work.

There is no "greed" because medical records are stored until their date of retention until they are destroyed.  She has every right to charge you for copies because they are HER records.  AND she is paying storage on them.  AND she will be paying destruction fees on them.

How do I know this?? I worked in the Records Retention field for many years. File all the reports you want but that is how it works.
