Dr. Kenny Lin contacted me through e-mail to offer me a position as a private English tutor for his wife and two daughters.  He introduced himself as an oncologist from Lhasa, Tibet, who had worked at the Lhasa People's Hospital and had recently immigrated to England on an entrepreneurial visa to set up a private medical practice.

He offered to pay 3,000 British pounds per month plus roundtrip airfare, medical insurance, accommodations and recreational allowances.  However, he did not offer any way for me to independently verify his identity.

He, then, sent me a contract, which was supposedly written up by his lawyer, and asked for 800 British pounds for processing and handling the UK work visa.

I thought this was suspicious, so I Googled his name and address and found others reporting that his offer was a scam.

The following is a copy of the contract he sent me. The original is very official looking.
