Dr. Larry Dunford, Dentist fraud, cosmetic, bonding, ruin teeth, dentist, cape coral Ripoff Cape Coral Florida
I was referred to Dr. Larry Dunford by my regular dentist at Dental Associates in Cape Coral for spaces between my teeth that had recently formed.
He wanted to do resin bonding to correct the problem. He did this on the sides of the four front top teeth. He then wanted to fix a gap between my bottom two front teeth so I let him.
He bonded the bottom two front teeth together into one large tooth and deep into and below the gum line. This led to these teeth having to be extracted and a bridge installed by Dr. Jeffrey Rubin - which ruined my bite alignment and is causing me great pain.
The day after the bonding was done one of the sides chipped off. Dr. Dunford said I had flossed wrong, but when he did some flossing that day, more chipped off! He said he didn't have time to fix it, and ended up refunding my money for that one piece. Over the next month, my gums were swollen from the bonding and by 2 months later, all of the bonding was gone - it simply flaked away. This cost me over $2600!
I now have 4 top teeth that are painful and look awful from the chipped bonding and have lost 4 teeth on the bottom with this horrible bridge that does not fit correctly.
Total cost to correct the problems caused by Dr. Dunford and Dr. Rubin - $26,000!!! I have already spent over $11,000 due to the pain and dealing with these two dentists.
Despite having many evaluations by dentists willing to state what these two did ruined my teeth, my insurance company, Delta Dental refuses to help.

Mark and any other reader:
I am currently a patient of Dr Dunford and have been for many years. I am now and have ALWAYS been VERY pleased with his level of care and attention to detail. Furthermore, when his name has come up in a number of coincidental conversations I have had with others under his care, I have never heard anything but good things about him and his dental practice.
The reason for my response to these comments is that I felt strongly that "another side of the story" should be told. Its a shame that in searching for his address online (ironically to write a thank you note for some recent dental work) I found this extremely damaging article. I just thought if someone (Mark) is given the opportunity to publicly attempt to ruin Dr Dunford's professional reputation, there should at least be an opportunity for another side of the story to be told.(My mother always taught me that there is ALWAYS two sides to every story.) I find it extremely hard to believe that Dr Dunford would tell ANYONE "I don't have time to fix it". After reading "Mark's" comments I would sure like to hear "the other side of the story".
Anyway, I am a loyal patient of Dr Dunford and just thought anyone else who stumbled onto this article should, in fact, get the chance to read "the other side of the story". I would recommend Dr Larry Dunford to ANYONE looking for a kind, patient, gentle and thorough dentist!

(PS -I noticed the writer (Mark) actually mentions 2 dentists he is unhappy with in his smear campaign. I just have to wonder if ANYONE could make him happy? Just food for thought.)
