Dr. Lori Cardellino AVOID this Dentist at All Cost! Ventura, California
I went to a health expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center a couple of years ago and met Dr. Lori Cardellino there. I was so impressed with her knowledge so I decided to go to her to have all my amalgams taken out since I am on a holistic cancer protocol and needed to have any amalgams in my mouth taken out before doing the Gerson Therapy. I was excited to finally get my amalgams out and have white composites put in. Dr. Cardellino's office is well-equipped with all the required standards for removing amalgams properly without inhaling the toxic mercury.
On my first visit, she hurt my teeth so bad and my last tooth was in so much pain that I ended up having a root canal (with another dentist). The rest of my teeth where the amalgams were removed were okay but my bite was very off because I couldn't close my mouth fully. On top of it, during the procedure she gave me a mercury tattoo on my bottom lip! She turned to her assistant and asked her "how did that get there?" She didn't do anything to remove it.
In fact, she blamed me for "moving too much." Let me remind you that I am on an intense cancer protocol and mercury is very toxic. After my procedure, I was hoping that the pain on my last molar would subside since she told me that it was normal to feel pain for a few days. After a week, the pain got worse. After 2 weeks it was so unbearable that I begged her to see what was causing the pain in my last tooth. I called her very early on a Friday so I can try to see her that day but she got mad that I "bothered'' her at such an early hour.
I went back the second time (on a Monday) and my bite was still not fixed. My last tooth was so unbearable that I just decided to go to another dentist to have a root canal. I couldn't wait one more day. I will AVOID this dentist at all cost. Her knowledge is superb but she is a terrible dentist with terrible manners! I would never recommend her for anything even if her service was free. I still have the mercury tattoo on my lip. Beware, she attends all kinds of health expo and even speaks at conventions. Like I said she's got an impressive knowledge in holistic dentistry but her hands on are downright terrible! You will be sorry...I was...very, very, sorry!

I went to Lori Cardellino and had an excellent experience getting my teeth cleaned with her. I sent two friends to her who had their mercury amalgams removed and both of them were able to do the removals without anesthesia and with no pain. That is how skilled Dr. Cardellino is as a dentist. She also charged very little for her services.
It is too bad that when you google with her, this report comes up. There are not enough holistic dentists out there, even less who are affordable. She has a brusque personality, but it didn't bother me. People should know that she's an excellent dentist offering a holistic alternative to traditional dentistry.

My back upper tooth started to ache after an hour cell phone conversation. I went to my regular dentist and she told me to get a root canal. I said, no, so she referred me to another dentist that said I need two root canals....
I researched and found Dr. Cardellino and liked the holistic approach to dental care.
Dr Cardellino inspected by aching tooth and discovered that I had a metal crown with porcelain. The metal acts as a magnet to radiation.... so the hour on the cell phone pressed up next to my cheek and the 2 X-rays were intensifing the situation. She recommended taking off the metal/porcelain crown and fitting a temporary. She explained that the metal is blocking my meridian energy. Upon removing the crown I instantly felt better and improved to fit a new procelain crown.
I liked Dr. Cardellino's approach to a holistic way of self healing. After doing some extensive research I would never, never get a root canal. Any denstis that recommends a root canal, I would run the other way. Lots of problems with root canals.
Dentistry needs to be more progressive in the way of nutrition, self healing and awareness of toxic metals that harm your body. Dr. Cardellino is ahead of her time. I would highly recommend her.

I have had a ton of dental work over the years and worked with dentists that did terrible work and had horrible bedside manner and I have worked with some of what were considered the best including professors from USC and UCLA Dental Schools. I have found all to be a bit of a crap shoot in the past, having complications arise from even those who were considered to be the best. I recently chose to consider holistic dentistry, and the costs I found out there were astronomical. I found Lori through an associate, and not only was she extremely knowledgable, she was also the most affordable. Her explanation for this to me was that she has made it her mission to get these important treatments out there to as many people as she can at an affordable rate. I experienced her to be extremely heartfelt.
While I can agree that her demeanor could come across as terse to some, I do not mind this as I have known many in medical practice to be this way. I found her to be exceptional at administering anesthesia. She also felt very precise in her work to me. Contrary to many dentists I have worked with, She was also very explanatory that after these procedures, bites can change and need to be remedied sometimes after the fact, do to numbness and also to the difference that bites may take just when we stand up, from laying down. She requested that I notify her and come in as soon as possible, should this happen.
I would reccomend her to all of my closest friends and family and am grateful for her, her staff, and the work that she is doing. I am sorry that you had a challenging and painful experience as I have been for my own in the past, with numerous route canals, crown lengthening etc..., but I also take responsibility for the dental hygeine my parents and I had that created the problem as well as the over agressive dentists I went to in my earlier years. I have since learned a lot, and Lori presents herself to be one of the most conservative I have found thus far which to me is of the utmost importance to me now. Blessings.
