I was a patient of Dr Beltran in January of 2008. I went to Dr Beltran for a Breast Augmentation. After several visits with the Dr, I decided to go ahead with the operation. After my surgery I was very concerned with the noticable scaring I had. Many friends who had gone to other Plastic Surgeons for the same procedure did not have the same noticable scaring. Dr Beltran told me "This is normal, I have been doing this for years " He became very arrogant and rude that I question his work.
After months of recovery I went to a second opinion. I was shocked to find out this procedure had been completly botched up. I immediatly contacted Dr Beltran. He would not return calls or follow up with my recovery. I am in the process of filing complaints with the State Medical Board. I want people to know what type of human being this man is. I have since then had multiple procedures with another surgeon to fix the mistakes Dr Beltran made.

Everyone has an opinion. LETS GO WITH THE FACTS. I am sure you will have some excuse for the article below:
State medical board has reprimanded or taken licenses from a dozen OC doctors so far this year.

The state medical board has disciplined 12 Orange County doctors this year, including four who lost their licenses for violations from dealing drugs to bilking Medicare, according to documents recently released by the board. Here are the board's accusations against the doctors, and the disciplinary actions taken:
Dr. Robert Rudy Beltran, a plastic surgeon in Irvine, was reprimanded in April and accused of not telling a patient before performing a thigh-lift procedure that he was trained in ear, nose and throat surgery. Beltran was also cited for allegedly failing to appropriately treat the post-surgical wound complications and for not keeping accurate medical records. Beltran said he has contested the wording in the board's reprimand and said they misrepresented the facts in the case

I have known Dr. Beltran for over 20 years. During the time I have known Dr. Beltran I know for a fact that he is a very skilled surgeon who is extremely hard working. I have always seen him make himself available to his patients 24/7. He is also very compassionate and ethical with his patients, by his understanding of patients anxieties and concerns prior to and after surgery. He has performed surgery to two of my children in the the past with excellent results, as well as myself. In all the years that I have known Dr. Beltran he has achieved very good to excellent
results 98% of the time. No one is perfect! Sometimes less than desireable results and or complications can occur, and I feel that Dr. Beltran has addressed patient concerns when a unfortunate situation had occured. This is surgery, it is not a perfect science, complications can occur. It is not always the surgeons fault when these situations occur. It is extremely unfortunate that some individuals or patient or a disgruntled employee are making an attempt to discredit him professionally via the internet. Dr. Beltran is a very qualified physican and surgeon, and always striving for the best possible results possible, and has always shown compassion to all his patients.

I am a patient of Dr. Beltran and have had a few MAJOR with him since 2005, including body contouring, breast augmentation, fat injections, Rhino surgery, chin augmentation.
First off, I found Dr. Beltran through a friend. After all, he does little or no advertising. My friend's mom was his RN for over 20 years, and referred her OWN DAUGHTER TO HIM.
If he was such a butcher, would his own PREVIOUS RN be referring cases to him??? Likely not.
My friend had a Breast Augmentation, Rhino, and Lipo, and I was so impressed with her results, I decided to have surgery with him too.
YES Beltran is an EXPERT in Facial, Nose Throat, EAR reconstruction, but he also a Certified Plastic Surgeon for other areas of the body.
An example of his expertise, my Rhino procedure... usually one of the most painful procedures, didn't cause me one bit of bruising or pain... this is a HIGHLY irregular outcome for such a procedure. Usually people are black and blue and in pain for quite a while.
On May 22, 2008, I decided to go in to get my b***s done. Yes, Dr. Beltran is a bit of aloof.. I have to say, after over a decade of working with both Doctors and Lawyers in the Legal industry, usually the most educated/smart ones.. aren't the bes with people and are a bit STRANGE.. and yes.. THEY ALL WANT MONEY, duh!.... If they were into people they'd become a therapist/psychologist and not a Surgeon....
HOWEVER, his OFFICE staff will spend more then enough time going over everything with you.. and trust me.. unlike my previous procedure, I was unsure what I wanted or even if I should do it, and those poor girls got calls/emails from me for nearly a month!!!
While "freaken" over my surgery, I paged over a few thousand of Beltran's "before and after pics," - not all were as "perfect as I ended up being" but you could tell the girls had problematic breasts to begin with, and following the procedure, there was a vast improvement.
Finally, while I was being prepped for Surgery, I LEARNED DR. BELTRAN HAS PERFORMED A FEW DIFFERENT PROCEDURES ON HIS OWN IMMEDIATE FAMILY PER THEIR REQUEST, INCLUDING THE PROCEDURE I WAS HAVING.
Now, if he's so bad at it.. "such a butcher" I really don't think he would have operated on his own immediate family?
As for the results of my results of my recent procedure, I went with the doctors suggestion and I have some of the best looking b***s I've ever seen and I have friends with boob jobs who agree.
In addition, my recovery was irregular.. I was up and doing chores the day after my procedure, went shopping for bras on day 3, and by day 7.... I was jogging on the tredmil even though Beltran would have killed me if he knew I was running that early on. After hearing horror stories from my Aunt who had a Boob Job with another surgeon, I expected I'd be bed ridden for a minimum of 7 days, unable to lift my hands above my head or even feed/bath myself.
I think some women can never be satisfied with their results/ or their bodies were such, the doctor did the best they could given the set of circumstances.
Others.. well, they're always risks with surgery, boob surgery included.
In short, Beltran is a bit of an odd cat, but he does do wonderful work and I have seen many examples of it. This girl's experienced is unfortunate, but
