Complaint Review: Dr. Tech Global LLC

Beware of Adrian Chen and his shady internet companies. They are actually one company with multiple names/addresses/etc to hide from its poor reputation and the law. Here are a few aliases: Dr Tech Weather Station, SVP Tech, SlimSharp, Silicon Valley Imaging, Silicon Valley Peripherals. 

Adrian is an unethical business business person who sells cheaply made Chinese knockoff goods with little to no after sale support. He steals marketing materials from respected brands and changes them to make them look like his creation. 

In August of 2012 Adrian and his Company(s) received the maximum civil penalty of $30,000 from State of California for Deceptive trade practices to include false advertising and misrepresenting nature of business. (see below)

Government Actions:

On August 10, 2012 the Alameda County District Attorney's Office entered into a Final Judgment and Permanent Injunction with Silicon Valley Imaging, Corp., and its subsidiaries affiliated business entities, officers, directors and employees.

Without any admission of wrong doing the defendant is permanently enjoined and restrained from engaging in or performing directly or indirectly any of the following acts:

Violating Section 17500 of the California Business and Professions Code.
Violating Section 17505 of the California Business and Professions Code.
Violating Section 17200 of the California Business and Professions Code.

Defendant Silicon Valley Imaging Corp. shall pay the sum of thirty thousand dollars in civil penalties and costs, designated and payable as follows:Two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) shall be designated as cost. Twenty seven thousand five hundred dollars ($27,500.00) shall be designated as civil penalties.
