His priorities are really unethical. I'm poor and had 2 stage 4 illnesses and am in desperate need of being tapered off of a high dose of a benzodiazepine because I have run out and going cold turkey on a benzo causes seizures and is life-threatening. He says that he won't treat me because "medicare patients don't pay very well."

I told him that out of 30 psychiatrists that I called which are listed as taking medicare, (almost a third of which are in another state, that's how few take medicare here) 30 have said that they either are not taking new patients, or do not accept medicare patients because we "don't pay enough." All he cares about is money. I don't want to have seizures and I'm in a life-threatening situation, and all he cares about is that I don't pay enough. Soulless.

..with another "no legit reader could possibly disagree with me or question my statements, so you must work for them post."  Read enough Rip-Off Reports and you realize this line pops so often you could set your watch to it.   What a sad little person you are- you didn't even attempt to address my rebuttal, you just went to "Oh yeah, well you must be the person I'm complaining about."  Ridiculous, pathetic, and pointless.

And this specific doctor is a good representation of the greedy others, and now I can see, their cluelessness and lack of care and compassion. That they are clearly in it for the money, they don't actually care about other people. And I called all of the docs on the list, and I called insurance, and many other numbers from the state the county, medicaid, share oregon, etc.

When you're in the same shoes as mine you can actually know what it's like, but your ignorant and comment shows that you have absolutely no idea how the system works for someone with my insurance in Oregon, a state with terrible state and federal healthcare. It's an embarrassment to the west coast, how they pretend to be so liberal when all they care about is money and lack a soul, just like you.

So maybe next time, Thomas, read your other reviews online. A lot of people hate you and several have written me back when I inquired about their experiences with you, saying that I dodged a bullet.

You called thirty doctors...

...who all told you the same thing.  Yet, this ripoff report is about a SINGLE doctor who won't take you as a patient because of the likelihood that he will not be adequately paid.  How did you choose this particular doctor to write  ripoff report on ?

I'm willing to bet that you did NOT call thirty doctors or even close to that.  If you have any other insurance, that insurance company can help you find an in-network doctor.  If you only have medicare and can't find treatment and are in a life-threatening situation, go to the emergency room.  But I'd still like an answer to my question- what was special about the doctor you decided to post about?
