Complaint Review: Dr. Wenona R. Barnes

This is in response to the post dated June 12th 2013.

Many of us hoped that after Donna Taylor was exposed as the person creating all these posts that she would cease and desist but she continues her tirade. I am not affiliated with Dr. Barnes but have seen the antics of Donna Taylor towards other business owners. Donna Taylor has a very narcissistic nature. She is unable to relate to her family as well as others. She appears to be operating from the 'primitive brain' as there may be damage to the nuclei in the hypothalamus. There may also be a malfunction in the temporal lobe or Amygdala. Neuroticism and external locus of control is obvious in her posts. I commend Dr. Barnes for not engaging in nonsensical dialect.

This attack on Dr. Barnes is only one of many by Donna Taylor. Her employer (Mickey Borden & Associates) has been made aware of several of her actions and they choose to do nothing.

Wenona Barnes, CEO of LifeFocus Counseling and LifeLab has been advertising herself as a PhD and an expert in everything from drug testing to supervised visitation. 

I had previously posted that this complaint was in fact a
malicious intent to destroy the credibility of Wenona Barnes. I had asked the
author to come clean on the reasoning behind all of these fake names, defaming
Wenona Barnes, which she did not. This person is employed by Mickey Borden and
Associates (Employee Benefit Services), located in Oklahoma
City. If you call regarding insurance, you may even
get to speak to Donna.

 

This whole rant is nothing more than a hoax, with fictitious
names and should be deleted.

I am sending this to your employer. you can either come clean on this and admit you did it out of personal anger or I will post the real author (you) of all of this nonsense as well as where you are employed and see how your employer likes to be associated with someone as  malicious as you. Wenona Barnes KNOWS the person that wrote this gibberish. She is not from New Jersey, she is from Oklahoma City. Taking your personal frustrations out on a persons career is about as cheap shot as it gets. I should post the name of the person that wrote this nonsense as well as where she is employed and see how her employer likes it.

Anyone truly wanting to earn their PhD knows which University to obtain the degree from.
Which University's degree's will transfer from State to State with out question. I have a feeling that this Juils person doesn't exist, what client would know to use the verbiage governing bodies'? I have a feeling the so called Dr.' herself was attempting to take a crack at redeeming her so called reputation. And since we are on the subject of reputation, her so called peers in the OKC area are very well aware of the fake PhD she is trying to pass.

She submitted her degree fro Carrington University and when the Oklahoma Licensing Board sent her a letter requesting further information regarding her degree from Carrington University, they never received a response from Mrs. Barnes. This all information that you can verify.

I think it's extremely important for people who have the shady behaviors in their professional life to be called out on it. Consumers need to be aware of the mass production of the degree mills and how many so called' professionals in there area are obtaining these degrees and are using them to further their careers and business.

OK! Lets set this record straight.....

Carrington University is an online University for those individuals who have a busy schedule...ie, family, full-time job and other life responsibilities to attend college and obtain a degree.

The degree is NOT Bogus. It will transfere to most 2 or 4 year colleges where you can receive credit for the classes you have taken. And in order to do the classes on line, you have to be very dedicated to your studies as, there is no one to tell you to get it done or hold your hand as they do at the onsite campus.

There are several Universities in different states and what they fail to tell you is that some states will not accept your degree. Mrs. Barnes at no time deceived anyone. If anything she herself was miss led.

So to those of you who have nothing better than to bash people because your a little upset with them on a personal level, find a hobby, spend time with your family and get a life. There is no way to make 100% of the world happy and those of you who make it a life goal to make people miserable need to grow up.

As for Mrs. Barnes she is very trusted and liked by her fellow collegues and has a very outstanding reputation in her community.

I am a current employee of LifeFocus Counseling and would like to set the record straight for Mrs. Wenona Barnes.

I have been employeed by Mrs. Barnes for almost 3 years now and would like to say that she is by far the best employeer I have ever worked for. I know that some people have questioned her Degree from Carrington University and while I dont totally understand all the formalities, I can tell you that Mrs. Barnes knows her stuff. Mrs. Barnes works very hard to see to the well-being of her patients and goes above and beyond that of most Doctors.

Mrs. Barnes is fair, understand, patient, kind, and most of all compassionate to those she treats. Mrs. Barnes would never do anything to deceive her clients or employees. For those people who seem to have nothing better to do than attach Mrs. Barnes you might want to find a hobby.

I want those of you who might happen to read this to know that Mrs. Barnes in no way intentionally deceived her clients or staff. As for the Carrington University Issue... she done her time in order to receive her Degree. So layoff! Get a Life! I dont see any of you out there doing anything except spending time to attach Mrs. Barnes... so I would suggest getting a life and maybe going back to school yourself.

Thanks for all this info on this counselor but me and my family will not be seeking her or her companies services. I did some checking of my own and Carrington University is listed as a degree mill.

If someone is as "intelligent" as you or "she" states, then why the scam of a "Phony" PHD?

Some people like to try and be something they are not... too many other truly intelligent and reputable individuals out there to see, other than someone like this.

Check your information before believing those with nothing better to do than bash others. I called both of the governing bodies on this counselor, her licensing board (Oklahoma Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor Board) and her certification body (Employee Assistance Professional Association) to find that she is in good standing. Sounds like to me...the person making these statements could use some counseling!

I have to tell you from a client's perspective...it really doesn't matter. I went to 3 counselors prior to seeing Wenona, and I can tell you that she literally saved my life. I was about to give up. For that, it truly doesn't matter what credentials are behind someone's name anyway, what matters is that that counselor is willing to go the extra mile, makes you feel comfortable enough to open up and talk things out, and is knowledgeable in your area of trouble. I could care less if she had a high school diploma...I do care that she could see past what the other counselors I tried could not. If you need help, I completely recommend her. Her office is comfortable, relaxing, and professional. She is nurturing, confronting, and intelligent.

At the end of the day...she saved my life. What else do I need to say? From a client's standpoint...she is great! From her governing bodies...she is in good standing.

She is a member of the Professional Academy of Custody Evaluators and is certified by the Department of Transportation as a certified substance abuse professional. In addition, Dr. Barnes is a consultant to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, past president and vice president of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Employee Assistance Program Association. The Respondent admits that he is an alcoholic. He sought treatment from Dr. Wenona Barnes after his January 9, 2007 arrest for DUI and first met with her on January 24, 2007. Dr. Barnes works with the Lawyers Helping Lawyers program and a lawyer may attend three sessions for free. The Respondent continued to see Dr. Barnes on a professional basis and he is still her client. At the time of the hearing, the Respondent had completed fourteen personal sessions with Dr. Barnes, as well as six hours of drug education at her office. She conducted tests and determined that the Respondent did not require in-patient treatment. Dr. Barnes recommended that Mr. McBride participate in an intensive out-patient program at St. Anthony's Hospital. Respondent began attending AA meetings and became active in the 12-Step Program. Respondent signed a two-year contract with Lawyers' Helping Lawyers. Respondent successfully completed the extensive out-patient treatment at St. Anthony's Hospital at the end of June, 2007.6 Dr. Barnes testified that he has done everything she recommended and more. She testified that typically a relapse would have happened by the time of the Respondent's five or six months of successful abstinence.
