DON'T BUY BEFORE YOU INSPECT! I purchased two vehicles without getting them inspected and what a mistake that turned out to be. Two years ago I was in the market for a vehicle for my daughter who would soon be driving. She thought she wanted a Jeep Wrangler. While looking online we came across a 1973 Jeep Commando that was offered by Dream Cars of the Carolina's. After a couple conversations with Jim, I decided to purchase the Jeep. Then I saw a 1969 Ford XL 500 offered by the same. I spoke with Jim again and he assured me the Ford was a great driving car. It was sold as a car with the 429 Thuderbolt enging and a good driving car. When the two vehicles arrived, I was sorely disappointed. The Jeep had a ton of work that needed to be done just to pass safety inspection here in Texas. The Ford, well, let's just say was anything but a "Good driving car" as expressed by Jim. The front seat rocked due to the floor being rusted out. The car could not pass a safety inspection either. When I spoke to Jim, post purchase, I told him the car was NOT what he said it was. His response: "well, you didn't get hurt. the enging alone is worth what you paid for the car". I let it go and the car sat for two years while I was working on my daughters Jeep. A few weeks ago I started working on the Ford only to find out that the 429 Thunderbolt engine was NOT sitting in the engine bay. Needless-to-say, I was, once again, disappointed. When I emailed Jim, his only response was: "Bob, This is two years ago? Jim"

I responded: It doesn't change the fact that you sold me a car that was stated to have a 429. You even told me that the engine alone was worth what I paid for the car.

Hmmm, not good business practices."

No response from Jim since 28 March, 2017.

So, all this to say, BUYER BEWARE! INSPECT BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!

Jim, if you are reading this, I fully expect you to do the right thing.
